I have a cat with food allergies who takes pills every day. I bought these treats looking for a less allergenic alternative to the Greenies Pill Pockets. The Pillbuddy website says these treats are suitable for cats.

My cats wouldn't touch them. They looked at them in disgust and showed no inclination that these treats even seemed food-like to them. The treats have a very, very strong fake-jerky smell, which was pretty nasty and probably off-putting to the cats.

These were for me an expensive waste of money, I will be giving them to a friend with a dog and hoping the dog likes them.

My picky dog wont eat pill pockets so I was hesitant to try these. However, she LOVED both flavors. I still have to completely hide the pill so not one bit of it is exposed to air and then put it back in the bag and wait some minutes before giving it to her because if she sees me doing anything with her treats before giving them to her she wont trust there isn't a pill in there. LOL

Why they're better:

-They are individually wrapped so they don't dry out!

-Cheaper (I buy from my local pet store where they cost about $7 including tax).

-Much healthier ingredients

-BIGGER than pill pockets capsules (the big size) theres no hole in these but you get tons more so I use one of these to give my dogs several pills.

-Tasty, my one dog is super picky.

Some slight downsides:

-There isn't a hole in them like pill pockets. This really isn't an issue, just shove the pill in and shape the stuff around the pill.

-A bit smelly. I wash my hands after.

-Some dogs don't like the allergy formula. If you are worried, get the chicken instead.

We have a senior dog who has required meds two times a day. It's MUCH better than giving him his meds with anything else! We love it and will continue to get it as long as necessay!

Great Wheat-Free option for giving pills!

If your dog has allergies, or you just want to stick to a more natural diet, these work well. They do cost a little more than standard pill pockets, but they are definitely worth it.

These were a blessing! Our little Scottie was sick and needed to take numerous medications each day. He refused to take his pills with his food or even with peanut butter (a favorite). A friend recommended these Pillbuddy pockets. We were able to get them in the allergy formula which was just perfect for the needs of our dog. The pockets fit several pills easily and our dog gobbled them down. Thanks to Pillbuddy for a fine product.
