Not only are these containers airtight,they are also dog proof! I left my 3 boxers inside the house with 2 sets of these contaners and came home to find them in various places in the house, with numerous scratches and bite marks, but still closed and the contents safe! Attempts at self-feeding were foiled! Great product!

The first one I received had a huge cracked hole in the bottom. I contacted Amazon and got it exchanged without any trouble which was very nice. The wheels were easy to set up and the whole setup doesn't take up too much space. I'd say it's the equivalent of stacking textbooks on top of each other. I use the smaller one for food and the bigger one for litter. Like other reviews of this product, I don't think it's 100% sealed. When I press down on the top, the smell of cat food seeps out. However, it does prevent anything from getting in and is much more convenient than having big bags of food/litter. My cat also likes to sit on top of the boxes and so far, the containers have supported the food, litter, and cat mass. However, since my first shipment was broken and after reading reviews of similar products, I'd be careful with the sturdiness of the containers. Make sure to pour food/litter/etc slowly. I'm also afraid to fill them up to their limits. Otherwise, this product does its job and saves space.

I just received these containers. While I love the fact that one edge is hinged and the other has a snap closure, it is no where near being "airtight". Also when you go to pick the container up be careful as the snap closure side is so loose I have lost the contents more than once. Love the fact that it rolls but wish it was a tighter closure.

The combo kit has a great seal and the casters make it easy. The Top bin just sits in grooves on top of the lower bin. The Indigo color is definitely more of a Navy blue than a gray.

It helps to keep things air tight and contained. We use the big container for dog food and small for cat, I only wish he small one could b on the bottom as we use dog food a great deal more. But I do like it.
