I bought this on a whim at a local pet chain store. After about a month plus of usage there has been a dramatic reduction in tartar at the gum lines of both my dogs. They like the minty taste. It has all but eliminated the tartar and we don't fight to brush the teeth anymore. I use about a teaspoon full as compared to the recommended tablespoon amount as the water bowls I use are less than the 32 ounces mentioned in the directions. I like to change their water frequently. The cost is a little high but if you weigh it against the fresher breath, no tartar and hopefully no future trips to the Vet requiring the Dog to be anesthetized for teeth cleaning then savings are tremendous!

I was praying that this would work. My dog's breath is intollerable. I couldn't even hold her on my lap without her making me nauseated. The vet said that she most likely has some kind of bacterial infection in her mouth. Additionally she said she has a severe tartar build up. I just got her and have only had her for a month. I was very surprised that her previous owner had allowed her teeth to get in this condition. To give her the benefit of the doubt, my dog is a 6 year old pomeranian and pomeranians are known for having dental problems. We have her dental cleaning set for a month for now, but I bought this stuff hoping it would give us some relief until it was time for her appointment.We followed the directions and she would not drink it from her water bowl. I decided to buy a spray bottle and put the mixture in there. Now I just spray it in her mouth. That works so much better because before she would smell the water bowl and run in the other direction. I've been spraying her in the mouth all day in addition to giving her daily Nurti dent mini doggie chews. Her breath is already sooooo much better. Additionally, I have already noticed that some of the heavy brown stuff is coming off. If this stuff is as good as they say, I believe in a month from now her teeth will be sparkly clean.
I definitely recommend this product. My dog's breath literally made me sick. I am still going to get her teeth cleaned because she might have some kind of health issue and need a tooth pulled, but I think this is going to illeviate some of the issue. I am extremely impressed by this product so far. My only recommendation is that if your dog will not drink it from the bowl because of the strong mint smell and look,then put it in a spray bottle and just spray it in her mouth.

We stopped giving our 2 Vizsla's raw hides because they would fight over then and they're not that good for them anyways. Their beautiful white teeth started getting brown buildup along the gum line. We got this in a smaller size at Kahoots for about the same price and the dogs love it. Not to mention it makes their breath smell like they just brushed their teeth. We use a big bowl and fill it with water. Then do two splashes of this stuff after. If you put the solution in and then add the water, it will bubble up and the dogs don't love it. powerful odor, dog would not drink water with this product added, better to use the spray on which works well
