Despite taking her to the vet for treatment, I went through the pain of losing a pet to the horrible parvo virus. Now with a litter of ten puppies exposed to parvo, and not having the money for vet treatment, my husband and I tried everything we knew to save them, from under the skin fluid injections, enema treaments, penicillin shots, and still we grieved at the deaths of three of our pups. After doing research I found Parvaid. I ordered it with one day shipping and began treating the remaining 7 pups. Two of the remaining pups had begun showing signs of the virus. Not eating and loss of energy. After a day of diligent care and giving them drops they began to eat and walk around. It has been three days since we began treatment and all of our pups are eating and playing. There is no sign of watery stools, loss of apetite, or any other parvo symptom. I can't stop looking at them, I am so thankful.

I am aware that parvo is a very deadly virus and no treatment is guaranteed, I have lost a pup under the care of a vet to this virus, but if a pet owner really can't pay for the very expensive cost of a vet at least we can give our pups a chance with Parvaid. My vet said the pups had a 50/50 chance if treatment is started early. I just couldn't afford it. Parviad seems to have saved my puppies. Just remember to give it faithfully and on time. Don't skip or stop the doses. Hopefully it can save your precious pet.

Will update on pups condition later.

UPDATE FOLLOWS:

Sept. 29, 2011

Hello everyone, well here is the update on my pups. All my puppies who started on Parvaid survived!!! I am happy to report that even the three(one more started to have symptoms), who had parvo sysmtoms are alive and healthy! I wish I had known about this product before my other three died. I have read the negative reviews of this product and don't see where some of these people get their information. 'Didn't know how much to give or how many dogs one bottle would treat? I found all that info on the instruction slip in the box,or you can find it online. I for one am thankful for this product and the fact that it saved seven of my beautiful puppies.

Unfortunately I followed the instructions for this product on a pup that was not vomiting, however, was weakened from diarieha. The pup apparently was not swallowing all of the liquid, instead the liquid was going into his lungs. He asperated and passed shortly after the first doses. My vet did not recommend anything by mouth for this very reason, but after reading the reviews it gave me great hope & after loosing 4 pup's with sub Q. drugs & I just had to try it. I do not recommend this product on any pup that is showing signs of the illness as they will either throw it up further weakening their tiny bodies and/or asperate on it making recover impossible. Purhaps on pup's that you know have been exposed in the earliest stages only. The only pup's that survived this litter were taken into vet clinics and received an actual i.v. and a blood/plasma transfusion with a 1 week hospitalization even after catching it early on. This is a very dangerous, tragic disease that should NOT be experimented with. Don't waste time, get to a progressive vet that has experience with Parvo if you want to give your pup the best chance of survival. Intervenous rather than sub Q drug administration worked the best.

we have 2 5 month old puppies named rocky n missy. Missy started vomitting 6 days ago n we didn't know that she needed to be separated from her brother til it was too late. We took her to the vet the 2nd day n they diagnosed her with parvo, gave her 100$ worth of fluid n shots (which didn't help her at all) n said that he was probably infected too. He started vomiting 3 days ago. We couldn't afford to take them both to the vet especially since there was no guarantee they'd live. So we started doin our research to find rememdies to try to save them ourseleves. Almost every site I looked at mentioned parvaid on it but we were still skeptical because of the bad reviews we read on amazon. But parvo is somethin you can't waste time debating on treatment cuz ur dogs dying every minute you waste. So we gave parvaid a try as a last resort effort to save our puppies. We got it from the ups guy around 6pm last night. 4 doses the first hour n then once every hour til they get better. We were up all night to make sure we didn't miss a dose. It's now 11:30am n they both just ate some kfc mashed potatoes n some tiny bites of chicken! Missy hadn't eaten in 6 days so it melted my heart to see her eat. She was scarfin it down so fast I had to take it away from her so she didn't make herself sick. Thanks to parvaid my puppies seem 100% better compared to last night! The sleepless night n the 50$ I paid were totally worth it! My babies might actually make a full recovery!! Without spending 2 grand at the vet! So I'm very glad that we decided to try parvaid n I'd recommend it to anyone with a parvo puppy. We didn't get the colloidal silver or the vibactra. I made my own mix of brownsugar, hot water, pedialyte, pepto bismol, cracker crumbs, n powdered vitamin c that I put in a syringe n gave to them every hour or so to keep their fluids n blood sugar up. I stopped putting the pepto in it after I started giving them the parvaid cuz I didn't know if they were okay to mix. I hope this helps anyone that's in this situation n can't afford a vet. It's heart breaking to watch what parvo does to ur baby...but at least there is something you can do about it. This is working for us. Hope it helps you.

PROS:

Our order was shipped promptly and was well-packaged, which meant the Parvaid arrived intact.

CONS:

Firstly, the information on this Amazon page is scant, to say the least.

For example, it doesn't tell you what the ingredients are (we thought this was an FDA requirement), it doesn't tell you how many dogs it will treat and, therefore, how many bottles you will need, it doesn't mention anything about the hourly dosage schedule, which could be a big issue for some people, it doesn't mention any of the health warnings (e.g. if you give this product to a dog that has liver or pancreas problems, that could prove fatal), and it doesn't mention the fact that the manufacturer, Amber Technology, strongly recommends you buy four other products of theirs (i.e. Adizone, Life Cell Support, Pet's Pain Formula and Vibactra Plus) if you want to maximise your chances of success, which would put the cost up quite a bit.

As for the product itself, then we were shocked to find that the dosage instructions on the outer box, the label on the bottle, and the instruction sheet were all different.

We therefore turned to the manufacturer's own website, hoping that we would find clarification there.

Unfortunately, the information on their own site presented yet a fourth version of the dosage instructions.

With four different versions, how on earth are you meant to know which is the correct one (if any of them are)?

On the basis that it's a lot quicker, easier and cheaper to update a website than it is to make changes to product label and boxes, we assumed that the dosage information on their website was the most up-to-date.

But having decoded their obscure instructions and done some math (which they should do for you), we were amazed to find that, with 79 doses (or more it's all very confusing) being required (spread over nine or maybe ten days), one bottle of Parvaid would only be enough to treat a single dog up to 20lbs in weight something that both their own site and this page on Amazon completely fails to mention.

Moving on to the enclosed "instruction sheet", this is riddled with errors and bad English, making it even harder to interpret their real intentions.

For example, they don't give you any real clue as to how long the hourly dosage schedule will last is it one day, two days, or more?

There is a lot of wasted space on this instruction sheet (some of which is needlessly taken up with adverts for their other products), which should have been used to provide more comprehensive and accurate instructions.

Returning to the ingredients, once we found them, we were disappointed to find that they included two substances known to cause problems for dogs garlic (this can cause extra vomiting and diarrhea) and alcohol (this is toxic to dogs, even in small quantities).

Here are the ingredients in Parvaid:

Peppermint

Spearmint

Chamomile

Plantain

Echinacea

Oregon Grape

Rose Hips

Yarrow

Garlic ***

Goldenseal

Hibiscus Flower

Ethyl Alcohol ***

Distilled Water

Even if Amber Technology were to claim these are safe in the quantities used, we don't believe in taking any additional chances when our dogs' lives are at stake.

CONCLUSION:

With so many inconsistencies regarding the correct dosage instructions, there is no information on how many dogs can be treated with a single bottle of Parvaid, apparently multiple products are necessary which will increase the price significantly, there are no ingredients/health warnings, and with the lack of information on this page this is just plain misleading, not to mention their over-stated claim that Parvaid will help any dog who has been "exposed to any health threatening condition", there is no way that we could recommend this product to anybody, and we certainly won't be buying it again.

On August 13th, my daughter brought home a flea infested puppy that I took one look at and fell in love with. She was eating food on her own and drinking water. Gave her a couple flea baths and no more fleas. She would run around the yard and go the bathroom and seemed so full of life. On the 15th a friend of my daughters wanted to take the puppy to his house to show it off. My daughter brought Marley back home that night and everything seemed fine. Two days later the worst struck our puppy. Marley started throwing up, I thought maybe it was just a little puppy tummy that ate too fast or something like that, but it continued all day. Poor baby had no appetite, was lethargic and throwing up white / yellow bile. The worst was yet to come, that night she had the worst diarrhea. It was all mucus like and a horrid smell. The next morning, it was a Sunday she was even weaker and lethargic. Not knowing what could be wrong with her, I started doing research on what her symptoms could be online. The more I researched the more I got worried that it was Parvo. My daughter started blaming herself for letting her friend take Marley to his house. He has several dogs and they had been sniffing and licking Marley while she was there, and the time frame for Parvo fit in with her being there on Thursday and Marley being sick on Saturday. She also had the nasty breath that all puppies and dogs that catch Parvo seem to have, and I can tell you its a smell I will never forget. Monday morning made a vet appointment to see if it was Parvo or maybe something else. Sadly they told us it was Parvo and that for $1400.00 they might be able to save her. I was sick to my stomach and heartbroken cause the thought of spending $1400.00 on a puppy we had not even had a week was just not doable. So after many tears and thinking I would take this sweet little puppy home and take the best care of her I could and get myself prepared for the worst. I paid the $36.00 office visit that seemed like a death sentence and decided I would take her home and deal with whatever was brought our way with a heavy heart.

As soon as I got home I frantically researched the internet and saw all these amazing stories of people trying and using Parvaid and saving their beloved pets. I went crazy trying to see if any of my local pet supply places sold it and sadly none here in Michigan do. Thank god for Amazon, they had it there. I have my Amazon prime membership and get free 2 day shipping or for $3.99 get one day shipping. I was happy to pay the $3.99 for one day shipping if it would give my puppy a chance. I also read about the RESCUE TEA that was encouraged to be started ASAP on any Parvo animal. I raced to the store and bought the ingredients for it that I did not have and hurried home to brew this rescue tea and start Marley on it. Waiting for the UPS guy to bring me Marley's miracle medicine ( Parvaid ) was so hard, every time I heard a vehicle outside I would race to the window hoping it was it being delivered. Was so scared that each passing hour would be too late to help her, scared that she would die before I even had the chance to give her Parvaid. Then it arrived and I started the regimen and followed it precisely, did not even want to be off schedule by more than a couple minutes. Marley had fought this far and was still with us, I had to help her fight too and not let her down. For 3 days every hour on the hour day and night I would give Marley her Parvaid and rescue tea, I also had Pedialyte in a dish for her to drink on her own and we would also give her pedialyte by syringe in her mouth as well. I read all I could on Parvo. Was the longest 3 days of my life. I was desperate to save this puppy. In the night I would wake up and she would be so still sleeping, barely breathing, I would reach out to her and feel if she was still warm and breathing. Sometimes she would wake up and look at me like "What are you doing waking me up? I'm sleeping" and go back to sleep. I would let out a sigh of relief and try to get a few minutes of sleep knowing the next hour dose would be soon. I had a posting about her on my Facebook and had friends and family that were rooting for her and giving me strength to keep up fighting for Marley. I can say without a doubt that Marley was and is a fighter. She would still want to be taken outside to go the bathroom, as if she was proving that she was a good girl and was worthy of being our pet.

For those 3 days I slept with Marley, she had a little pet bed and I had old baby blankets and would keep her wrapped up and warm. A couple a days she was in pain and would whimper and cry and I felt so useless. Read online about using baby asprin and giving that for pain, so I went and bought baby asprin and crushed it and mixed it with pedialyte and gave it to her by syringe, would keep her next to my body so she had my body heat and the sound of my heartbeat to let her know she was not alone. I was getting physically and emotionally drained, cried so many tears and prayed for this puppy to be alright.

A few times I would take her outside to go the bathroom and she would just collapse. She was getting weaker and weaker, she went from a plump roly poly puppy to a skeleton of a puppy that could barely stand up. I would start sobbing and feel like I was failing and that if I had spent the money maybe she would not be this way. Still every hour on the hour I made her take her Parvaid and her rescue tea. She kept urinating which I thought was a good sign, I knew her kidneys and bladder were still functioning, which meant I was keeping her hydrated. We also would take a q-tip and rub syrup on her gums to make sure she had some sugar being taken in, as the low sugar could cause added issues with her being so sick. After more research decided to buy and add Vibactra Plus All-Natural Antibiotic and Anti-Parasitic for pets. I had no idea if she had any infections or parasites, but figured this would give her a added fighting chance.

By Friday August 24th she was still with us, she was weak but moving around on her own, but still had no appetite. We bought a can of puppy milk replacer to start adding to her diet, hoping the added calories would give her more energy. We were still doing the Parvaid, Vibactra Plus, rescue tea, pedialyte and now the puppy milk. Saturday came and she still was not eating and I was worried about the fact she had not eaten in a week. I started adding baby rice cereal to her puppy milk. Sunday the 26th I decided to try and give her baby food turkey & gravy, chicken & gravy and beef & gravy. It was slow going could only would give her a spoon or two at a time, so her stomach could get used to eating again. After two days of baby food meat. We got a bowel movement and looked like she would make it if we could get her back eating her puppy food. Started to introduce some canned puppy food for her, and slowly she was eating it. Each day she got more active. She would look more alert, her eyes all shiny and bright and full of mischief, her tail went from being tucked under her to being back up wagging. She was starting to bounce around the yard and scamper like all puppies should. We are now 17 days from when she first got sick and she is frisky and playful. We still give her Parvaid and her Vibactra Plus four times a day just make sure she is safe since she is still recuperating, she eats her regular dry puppy food and chases her tail and tries to get our two cats to play with her, much to their dislike. Everyone who has seen Marley before she was sick, while she was sick and as of today are shocked and amazed. They never thought she would make it, everyone gave up on her except for me and my kids. I am truly grateful for the amazing products Amber Technology has offered as a inexpensive and natural way to take care of my pets. Miracles do happen with Amber Technology products.
