My dog is extremely picky, he won't eat milk bones, not even dipped ones, and so far any "healthy" dog treat he won't eat unless it is soft and chewy. These are like cup coasters, only about the size of a sliver of a large cucumber, if that makes sense, they are oval shaped and about .75cm x 2.5cm x 3.75cm (thickness x width x length). I am happy to buy them for him as I trust that they won't kill my dog, but when I give them to him, he looks at me and asks where his treat is. If I give them to him with something soft and chewy eats everything up, even eating these first sometimes. I've tried Rachel Rays simple treats, the ones with only 6 or 7 ingredients and we are lucky if we can get him to eat half the bag before I give up and throw em out (after about 7-10 weeks) and several other brands of natural/organic/healthy treats, funny, since he has only had holistic dog food since he was 1 year old.The packaging is good, the treats look to be of good quality, I have not noticed an exceptionally strong smell. I would buy them again, because I feel better giving these to him than most others found in stores and think that if I continue to give them to him, he will eventually eat them everytime.
My dog is an 11 year old, 65 lb. 50% samoyed and 25% malmute mix. I normally give him treats if he was especially good (like when the baby gets rough with him, or he listens to me when I really need him to do something and I don't have to fight him for it), or if he poos when I walk him. He gets between 2 and 4 treats at those times only (only because if I gave them to him more often he would starve himself while waiting/begging for treats).
