I was really relieved to find that these were available, as my cat has serious food-allergy issues with poultry, and poultry is in EVERYTHING --cat food, treats, you name it. He's on venison dry food as well as wet food after a period of trying duck (which I had to discontinue in their diets as it was too fatty for my other cat's system).
I wasn't sure if he'd like these treats (he's a typically finicky eater) but he took to them pretty well. He enjoys them and it's a good way to give him treats while my other cat enjoys "conventional" cat treats.I was excited to find a venison kitty treat for my poor food-allergic kitty. I don't know what these have in them to preserve them but they make my kitty barf--his reaction to foods he is allergic to. He does fine with the special prescription venison kitty food. But these treats won't work. If you are buying for an allergic pet, be forewarned. Buy only one and try it after everything else has settled down so you can tell if your pet will tolerate them.
