I have treated my dog, Cody (5 yr. old 45 lb. hound mix male/neutered), with 'Hartz Precision Nutrition Adult Dog Multivitamins' every day using up an entire 100-tablet bottle since January of 2012. After the first bottle was finished, I intentionally did not resume Cody's vitamins for 3-4 weeks as I wanted to be sure that my review was as comprehensive as possible -it has been a week since Cody has resumed taking his vitamins.
First off, I contacted Hartz during the first week of Cody's vitamin routine. Initially I was splitting Cody's 2 recommended tablets (1 tab per 20 lbs.) as a day/night thing; however, the good folks at Hartz emailed me back the next day telling me that it is recommended to administer the entire daily dosage at once.
Once I did this, Cody's body showed rapid positive effects. For example, when I adopted Cody from the local shelter he was slightly underweight; however, once I implemented his vitamin routine, he quickly gained healthy weight and it has stabilized where he looks very healthy. In fact, a neighbor who saw Cody before taking 'Hartz Precision Multivitamins' then again a few weeks afterwards mentioned that "he looks bigger."
Granted, I'm sure that my spoiling Cody has something to do with his weight gain; however, I am also pretty confident that the vitamins helped a lot with promoting 'properly gained' weight/muscle mass. Cody receives praise of "how healthy he looks" from everyone he meets, so it's not just me being an overly proud owner.
After being off the vitamins for 3-4 weeks, I can tell you that Cody is definitely rejuvenated in terms of endurance during our daily walks/hikes after resuming his regiment for a week now. There is no doubt that there is a significant difference here. Example: Two weeks ago we take a 3-mile hike -near the end of our trek I was getting annoyed with Cody because I felt as if I was pulling him to keep pace (frustrating burden!). This past weekend, Cody and I took a 4.5 mile hike and near the end of that trek, Cody was leading the way and wanted to go some more!
Speaking of 'going some more' -the resumption of Cody's vitamins has also showed a difference in his bowel movements. Definitely healthier looking droppings and, evidently, easier to pass. Be warned that your dog might not be done 'going' during walks so have patience as my dog sometimes will go 2-4 times during one walk! Don't let this slight exaggeration worry you, though, the effect is nothing like a laxative by any means. Quite frankly, the difference seems noticeable -better b.m.'s with the vitamins ('nuff said).
An added benefit of Cody being on a daily vitamin regiment is that it also keeps me consistently taking my own vitamins! I never miss a day administering Cody's vitamins, which in turn reminds me to follow suit -I can tell you that I would miss 2-3 days during those weeks Cody did not take his vitamins.
The tablets are on the small side, which is a good thing, really, as my dog (like the other reviews mention) does not favor its flavor. I find it very unusual that the flavor of the 'Hartz Precision Multivitamins' is "Seafood" -one would think 'perfect' for a cat but not a dog, right? I did not ask Hartz why they chose this flavor as it is a moot point with Cody -I simply put the tablets in his morning snack an hour before our hikes is all, and he gobbles it without even being the wiser! Another reason why I did not bother asking Hartz about choosing 'seafood' flavor is because I simply assumed that some of the nutrients inside the vitamins were of 'oceanic' origin, like kelp and sea critters.
This might be stretching it, sure, but do some research yourself in regards to 'tasty' vitamins for pets -you will find that a lot of money goes into making some brands taste so good so that owners will continue to buy the same kind... in the end, consumers always pay for all costs involved in any purchase. This should only make sense -remember how good 'Flintstones vitamins' tasted? You could eat half a bottle and still pee clear! Hey, if the 'Hartz Precision Multivitamins' remain inexpensive because they are not loaded with expensive taste enhancers, then fine by me!
Which brings me to my final point of interest: The product description states that the bottle contains 60 tablets, while the photo depicts 100 tabs -so which one is right? I have ordered twice now (both orders around nine bucks) and both bottles contained 100 tablets (I would assume that half that price is for the 60 bottle). At either price, the 'Hartz Precision Nutrition Adult Dog Multivitamins' have me convinced that I am getting more than I paid for -and that's a great thing!

May not be the best vitamins for a large breed due to the following reasons:1. Not cost effective (1 tablet is required per every 20 lbs of dog weigh. An 100-pounder will require 5 tablets a day, and this 100-count bottle will dry up in in 20 days.
2. The tablet is very small about the size of a penny, but thicker. Large dogs might have problems chewing on them.
Some pros though:
1. Non-GMO ingredients.
2. No fillers.
3. Low price (works fine if you own a small breed).
I am rating the product 4 stars given the large breeds' inconveniences (above).
Thanks

Two of my three dogs won't eat the vitamin unless I crush it and mix it in their food. My Shih Tzu likes it though. All of them are shiny and happy so maybe the taste could be reformulated.Read Best Reviews of Hartz Precision Nutrition Adult Dog Multivitamins 100 tabs Here
My 50 pound lab does not seem to care for the taste of this one. He likes the Hertz Joint Care but not this. He takes it, but its not his favorite.Want Hartz Precision Nutrition Adult Dog Multivitamins 100 tabs Discount?
My Shiba Inu does care for it and does not want to chew on it. It is strange because he will eat anything.
