There's mutual love for this ball at my house. My Weims love it because it's a ball. I love it for many reasons, 1) they haven't been able to destroy it when I'm not "observing them at all times". They are very competent at popping air filled balls with their powerful jaws and solid balls are shredded by teeth that have been known to shred cookie tins but this ball has defied them; 2) not only is it a big bouncer but it's also an erratic bouncer; 3) it seems to repel dirt and mud and doesn't get yucky for humans; 4) although it is primarily solid, it isn't dense or hard enough to break a tooth if caught on the fly; 5) it even whistles sometimes. It is a little heavy and can't be thrown very far but the bounce makes up for it. I'm buying one for my "granddog" who is also a Weim who loves to destroy his toys. His frustration of not being able to destroy it will match my son and daughter-in-law's delight in watching him try.

I don't know what this ball is made of (TPR, I think), but it is incredibly durable! I don't see how a dog could destroy this thing!

I brought my dog to my friend's shop where she's a groomer. A vendor had given her this ball and a few other of the product line as samples, so she had them there at the shop. I was sad to realize that there are no vendors within 100 miles of my location that sell this darned thing. So I had to find it online, and of course, as usual, amazon found me the best price. Most other websites were retailing this for about $11 on average. My dog is a 7 yr old male rottweiler and we just recently had to put his mother down. He's never been much for being toy driven. Usually his toy playing consisted of something he could tug with his mom. If I ever threw a ball he might chase it, pick it up, and then get distracted by something else and drop it.
Not so with this toy.
He found that ball at my friend's shop and started throwing it around like crazy. It bounces pretty eradically so I'm sure that was fairly exciting for him. He never knew which way it was going to go. And it bounces quite high! He was sooooo excited about this ball. He was acting like a puppy. What amused me the most was he would play with it with himself. Throwing it in the air, squirting it between his teeth so it would shoot off somewhere to chase, shaking his head so it would fly out in some odd direction. He also likes fetching it if a human throws it. He didn't want to get a bath because he was having so much fun, so we had the bright idea of throwing the ball in the tub, but since it bounces so well it would shoot right back out and give him some more fun time. Finally we just placed it there and he jumped right in to get it.
It also seems to be the perfect size to fit gently in his mouth. He doesn't have to stretch his mouth wide, it's not too small that I worry he'll choke, and I'm sure the chewing is wonderful and therapeutic. I haven't tried myself so I can't be certain but he does enjoy walking around with it in his mouth. You can't even tell it's there that's how perfectly it fits, it just looks like he's panting without his tongue hanging out.
This ball also has a little hole in it. I guess this could be for treats. The seller included some treats (also my dog loved, but my dog is a rottweiler, they eat anything), and they fit well in the hole, but they don't come back out. So now I have treats stuck in the hole. No biggie. Just keep that in mind. If your dog obsessively tries to get the treat out, well then this will be good to keep them entertained for awhile. My dog could care less about getting the treat out, he just loves the ball so freaking much.
Even the cat has gotten in on the action, when the dog goes to bed. Then he comes out and starts batting it around.
Also the ball doesn't have a disgusting rubber smell. It doesn't really have any smell. But I'm pretty convinced it's made out of dog crack since he loves the freaking thing so much.
I think every dog should get one of these!

Our Irish Wolfhound loves this ball! It holds up well and is very bouncy! Not too small, not too large.I have a boxer mix and she LOVES this ball. It would last much longer if the cat didn't take a liking to it and start chewing on it too, thus making it easier for my boxer to tear pieces off of it. All in all, great ball!
