My cat loves the taste & it works great for him. My vet. recommended it & he was right on for this stuff.I'm not sure what ingredient is actually the laxative part, but it works really well for my sheltie, when he sheds he can't help but ingest fur sometimes and this stuff works to dissolve the fluff. It is really thick and really sticky though, and sometimes gets permanently fused to his face fur, so watch out for that
