I have two powerful chewers and thought I'd give horns a try. My pit mixes quickly went to town on these. There was a lot of loud cracking and when one of them took a break about ten minutes in, I inspected the horn. I didn't like how it was splintering. I immediately was concerned about their gums. I checked on my other dog and their gums were a little bloody. Needless to say, I took the horns away. I won't be giving them the horns back due to the splintering and the potential choke hazard, unless there is a way to soften them (like rawhides).
