Bil-Jac Liver Treats were a big hit with my two dogs. They turn their noses up to other treats, but if I get the Bil-Jac's out they are performing every trick they know! Maybe the ingredient list has changed since 2009 because I was going to reorder but became alarmed when I read the previous review. So I pulled out my package and read the ingredient list. First ingredient: Chicken liver, followed by Chicken, Chicken meal, Wheat flour then lower on the list are some preservative items like glycerin, etc., but no "by-product" or high fructose corn syrup listed anywhere. I still consider this a mess-free, fairly nutrional, "made in the USA" not possibly tainted China treat for training my dog, who loves them.

We've been buying these for years and will continue to do so. Our dog takes a daily small thyroid pill that fits perfectly into these tiny and soft treats by simply pushing the pill into the middle. It is the simplest way we have found to get him to take his medication without paying a ton of money for a pill pocket type treat. He also loves the flavor and I am more comfortable giving it to him because its made in the USA.
