I gave up eating dog treats at about the age of 9, and so I must rely on my dog's reaction to these for this review. So, here goes:

1 Gets his attention when the box is opened (or shook a bit)

-lots of jumping around

2 If I am not quick enough to get one to him, we get a little drool

3 One is NEVER enough!

4 Neither is fifty, but he has to make due with one at a time

-poor doggie

These are about the size of three nickels piled on top of one another. That makes them great for small and even medium-ish dogs. If you have a larger dog I'd suggest the square snap treats that break up into four small biscuit-sized pieces. Same great taste, same drool factor.

I have a fairly good sized Greyhound and I make all of his treats because you don't know where the store bought ones are made and what is in them. I saw this treat by Canidae, a brand I am familiar with and trust. My dog doesn't always need a full sized treat and these are about dime sized and perfect to give him a couple at a time when he thinks he needs to have a snack. I'm ready to order some more.

These little treats are great to use as a training incentive! I keep them in little bowls around the house and when my pup does something special I reward him with 1 or 2 . He loves them. They smell good, minty kind of, have healthy ingredients, and perfect size for training rewards! A tad on the pricy side, but not bad.

I have a hard some with a couple of my Border Collies when I clip their toenails. I put a handful of these little treats in my pocket and each time they let me clip a nail, they get a treat. It works most of the time, and when we're all finished they get a couple more treats for a job well done. One of my younger BC's keeps checking my pocket to see if I accidentally left one behind.
