After all of the recalls and animal deaths associated with pet food and treats made in China, I ONLY purchase products made in the USA. I did a search on Amazon for chicken jerky treats made in the USA and this was one of the brands that came up. Because I can't read the package details online, I trusted that it was true. I received my order today and I am extremely disappointed because the treats are actually made in China.

I used to buy these at Costco and my dog loved them. But I recently learned that even though it's an American company, they (Kingdom Pets) import their chicken from China. The FDA has issued warnings against mysterious dog illnesses and deaths from chicken jerky imported from China.There used to be a lot of Amazon reviews on this product from people's dogs having severe reactions to these such as bloody vomit and diarrhea for some reason, those reviews have been removed.Not worth the risk in my opinion. One would think Kingdom Pets could produce a safe product for not much more money, raising their chickens here instead of paying to import possibly tainted meat and risking the health of our beloved pups.

My dog tries to convince us daily that she should live on nothing but these chicken jerky treats. It's a little ridiculous. I was a little leery at first as it is from china. However my two dogs have them every day and love them! I read up on this problem others have had with chicken strips from china. I believe the problems occur when dogs eat more of these treats than recommended. Limit the amount given till you know how your dog reacts. Mine love them and have zero problems.Kingdom Pets is awesome price and awesome for my dogs:)
