I purchased both the venison and lamb patties for my 11 month old aussie. She was very intrigued by the scentenough to take several small bites, each of which she dropped back onto the floor. I've resorted to mixing the patties in with cooked ground beef and fresh vegetables so as not to waste fifty dollars worth of food, she is still very reluctant to consume this food. A costly mistake. And she devours it. When I adopted her in April 2009, she had numerous health issues due to stress from being a year in the shelter, including lack of circulation in the edges of her ears plus repeated infections in the glands between her toes. Within 6 months of feeding her exclusively on the Nature's Variety frozen raw patties (I alternate the lamb, beef, and venison, along with NV Instinct grain-free kibble), she was in excellent health. We see the vet only for her shots. I highly recommend this food.
