This is a great and super cute toy. Seems to last very well and the dogs love them. You can either put a lot of little treats in it, or you can shove one fairly big treat in it. I know someone with a cattle dog who uses the Free Range/Dog Nip "chicken breast wrapped around a banana" treats and her dog will work on that for hours to get it back out. Mine are too lazy so I use little treats that spill out.

I purchased this toy for our daschund and he loved it. I purchased the small one first but he kept pushing it under things so I ordered the larger size. It was perfect. I purchased one of each color of the larger size for our grand dogs for Christmas because every time they came for a visit, they all loved it so much,it caused a problem because they all wanted to play with it. It is the perfect toy because it holds up very well and it keeps the dogs occupied for hours. It is well worth it. I highly recommend this toy. It is a must have. Our dogs are very picky when it comes to toys. They play with it whether it has a treat in or not.I am shocked that all of the previous reviews of this product were 5/5 stars!!! I did not pay full price for this, but got what I thought was a great deal on two greats balls that would benefit two different awesome causes!!! The fact that a portion of the proceeds goes to charity is the only positive thing I have to say about this product. If I could have given it 0/5 stars, I would have!I have two elkhounds, one 30 pounds and one 55 pounds these balls are WAY too small for them to play with, and indeed I was afraid that the larger dog could/would swallow it. This product is just slightly smaller than a tennis ball (the medium was the size I was sent), but they are made of a "squishy" material which made me very, very nervous. Additionally, using this as a treat ball seems counter-intuitive unless you have treats that are just exactly the right size. There is no mechanism to prevent the treats from falling out immediately if they are too small, and the two holes are directly across from one another, making this not even close to a challenge for the pups.
I was extraordinarily disappointed and now of 2 of these stupid balls and 2 pups with no new treat toys!!! There are FAR better treat dispensing balls/toys sold by amazon. Now, who to re-gift these to . . . someone with a VERY small dog!!!I received this toy as a replacement for the Beba toy. The DuraDoggie company was true to their guarantee and kindly took back the Beba toy my dog destroyed and sent me a new one. The gentleman stated that this one would be more durable, and he was right. My dog plays with this for up to an hour at a time, trying to get the treats out and it's withstood her efforts to destroy it. The openings are flexible enough for me to stick treats inside, but then will retract back for their safe keeping. It keeps my dog busy for a long time! Definitely recommend for dogs who are treat-motivated thinkers who enjoy a good challengeThis was one of the many toys a bought for my new puppy. He loves to chase it, chew on it, roll it around, and get treats from the middle of this toy. It's very durable (for a small dog who saves his rough gnawing for his harder chews) and he isn't ready for his little kong or nylabones. The ball is easy to stuff and the little nubs make it take a funny path when my puppy rolls it, which he loves. He can even carry it because of the holes in the side and its flexibility. I would recommend this for any small puppy.
