These bones came in various sizes. One of them was a bit thinner than the rest and one was more thick. Since not every bone is identical I do expect some variation in size. The lengths were all the same meeting the 5-6" description. The filling was not described but when I received them the package said BEEF AND CHEESE. My dog spends hours every day chewing on his bones. His teeth are pearly white and it keeps him from chewing up other toys. He tends to get frustrated when he cant get to the filling in the center. I recommend these.
