I've always been pretty happy with Lafeber's foods, with the pellets being my bird's main staple and the berries serving as treats. Of course he does get occasional people food, fruits and veggies, cheese... but I feel more comfortable sticking predominantly with the parrot food.
What really irks me though are the prices they advertise here. I am sure these MSRPs are flat out highly inflated prices. C'mon, List Price: $61.08?? There's no friggin way. Petco sells it for $19.99 in store, I buy it for $18.99 at my local bird store. I'm supposed to "feel good" that I'm saving $45.09 or 74%?? Ya might just be driving away customers like me using these tactics.

when we bought our African Grey about 6 months ago, the vet recommended several brands of food. The one he recommended most highly was Harrison's, suggesting LaFeber's only as treats. Sir Squawks-a-lot hated Harrisons, and threw 90% of it on the bottom of his cage. I read one of these reviews, and realized that I could feed him LaFeber's (which he adores) as his primary food. He loves it, his feathers, beak eyes etc. all look perfect, and the vet says he is in excellent health. So, I buy it here by the tub full. One review complains about the price..ON this site, it is $20 and no shipping if you order two at a time. This is compared to $33 at my local pet store. I think that is a good dealBuy Lafeber's Nutri-Berries Classic Parrot Food Tub Now
My rescued African Gray Joe came to me after living on french fries dipped in coffee and other junk food... I kid you not. He has taken to Nutri-Berries to the exclusion of all other bird food he will ignore a bowl of mixed food when I give it to him (even ignores the sunflower seeds). When I first got him and started feeding him these I was worried because he ate so many of them. The vet assured me that Grays rarely get fat so it was okay to feed Joe as much as he wanted to eat. His appetite has leveled off now and he currently eats about 16 berries twice a day. Some of that ends up through the grate but he definitely loves this food and that is accidental waste. I tried giving him the Pellet-Berries but he did not like those, so I buy a bucket of Nutri-Berries from Amazon about once a month. I have both a Petco and Petsmart in my town,; but am unable to find this brand at Petco and Petsmart's inventory is spotty at best. The company also has a satisfaction guarantee, so if you bird refuses to eat them you can send them back to Lafaber whose address is on the bucket.Read Best Reviews of Lafeber's Nutri-Berries Classic Parrot Food Tub Here
I brought home my 3 year old Goffin's Cockatoo in January. He was a complete seed junkie and ate almost nothing else. I tried several different pellets and he wouldn't even try them.Based on a suggestion of someone on a message board, I decided to give Nutriberries a try. He immediately loved them and won't even look at seeds anymore. When I first introduced them I would put some of his old seed mix in his dish along with the Nutriberries. I'd go to check his dish a few hours later the Nutriberries would be gone, but the seeds remained.
Thank you Lafeber's for creating a healthy food that my guy will eat!

My 40+ year old African Gray (I adopted him) loves this stuff. He never took to anything this fast. Even my little cockatiel looks forward to it as a treat. She doesn't eat the whole thing (I only give her one) but she loves what she eats. I highly recommend it. Amazon has the best price I've found. I tried some from a pet store before, but it was harder and I believe it was not as fresh.
