This is the only dry dog food that my Tavie has ever eaten without having to disguise the product in some other food. Additionally, it does not "upset" his stomack. Definitely worth the premium price.

My two dogs, Casey and Bonnie, are very pickey eaters. Many of the high quality dog foods that I have tried they would not eat. I read a lot about this brand of food and it gave it a try. They love it. The only negative is that it is expensive, but my dogs are small and so the price wasn't a real issue. They have other dog foods which are cheaper, but still of high quality. I think it is the price of the protein used which affects cost the most.

I found this dog food after my dog had Type 1 diabetes for about two years. Getting enough calories into her without large blood sugar swings was a real problem. Dogswell Happy Hips wet food does not cause blood sugar surges, but only after I added THIS kibble (tried many others) did I find the solution to getting enough food into her and being able to keep her insulin levels stable. She has finally put on some weight and her energy levels are good with this combination.I went to their site and this food is made in Canada. It is cooked at low temperatures to retain enzyme activity. As to the price I pay more at another site. I will be buying from Amazon from now on. Oh, and I am using the Senior Formula, but will give this a try also.

Its a good dog food but at $11 increase, $11 in a month.. yeah I think I will find a new food.
