My miniature poodle has food allergies and has to avoid wheat gluten and most protein sources. These are the only treats that she's been given for several years and she adores them. My other dog doesn't have allergies, but he loves them as well. I used to buy them at my vet's office, but I recently moved to another city and my vet here doesn't have them. I was relieved to find that I could order them here.

Our old English Bulldog, Maggie, has allergies to all sorts of things and she just loves these! We're on our third order. We give them to her after her morning vitamins and joint pills. Plus, with the dog food scare, they are perfectly safe.

I like that it's over a pound of treats, they are a good size and easy for my chihuahua to eat. I bought these because my chihuahua is a little overweight and these seem healthy and low fat. My chihuahua Trouble eats them gladly and fast.

A year ago, after several weeks of uncertainty, my Maltese was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease. The vet explained that the disorder is typically the result of an allergic reaction, though we didn't know exactly what the allergen was in Suzie's case. She had been eating the w/d formula by Hills, which she loved and eagerly ate, but evidently she had developed the more serious problem of inflammatory bowel disease. The vet recommended an exclusive diet of Royal Canin Hypoallergenic Hydrolyzed Protein. For treats, she recommended Hills Science Diet Hypoallergenic Canine treats. Suzie loves the new food and treats and the formulations were successful in treating her disorder. I love my "baby" and wanted her to have more than one brand of treats, so I conducted hours of research and finally discovered Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Treats. (These treats weren't listed on the animal hospital's food/treat order site, so I had no previous idea of their existence.) Although the Royal Canin treats are not identified as hypoallergenic, they contain no ingredients that have the potential to cause gastrointestinal problems. The treats are the perfect size for medium to large dogs, but they're large for tiny Maltese. Fortunately, they are easy to break. Suzie has been eating them for several months and loves them! No problems, no resistance. I highly recommend Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Treats for all dogs, though they are especially welcome for dogs with dietary issues.

These are great dog treats, and cheaper than elsewhere. The dogs would have written this review, but their vocabulary is limited.
