I ordered this product at the recommendation of my dogs breeder. She was teething and her eyes were watering very badly. It was creating red stains on her fur. After using this product for apx 10 days her eyes were clear and the fur around them was already lightening. The red Stains were dissappearing.Want Tylan Soluble Powder By Elanco Discount?
WARNING: This is anecdotal evidence, but....After treating my gassy/bloated puppy (through the vet) with three rounds of medications for giardia and coccidia, the diarrhea never stopped (not once for 7 weeks!).
For 7 weeks we went back and forth, the Flagyl wasn't helping and weight gain was slow, food was changed to fish and sweet potato (TOTW).
We ruled out EPI, Cobalamin/Folate levels were normal during SIBO screening, our vet was at a loss and I was nearly in tears every time I took her to the bathroom. My puppy was sick and I felt powerless to help her.
Due to the weight gain issues, I ordered pancreatic enzymes (Enzyme Diane) for 4 weeks to ensure absorption of her food. This did not stop the diarrhea but did not make it worse, so I continued.
I saw a study on Tylan-responsive diarrhea and decided to try it (purchased off Amazon).
Within a week her stools were improving, by week three I saw my first normal poop (!).
I made a small well on her food with plain canned pumpkin, put the Tylan powder in and covered with a drizzle of honey.
I kept her on it for the full 6 weeks, then tapered the dose off over the course of another week while re-seeding her GI tract with Primal Defense probiotics (by Garden of Life).
The vet called and said that she was baffled and maybe we can try Tylan powder (2 weeks after I had begun treating her with it). Thanks doc, already got if off Amazon for cheap!
That was 3 months ago that I stopped the Tylan powder and 2 months off the probiotics and her stools are still completely normal!
I am crediting the Tylan powder with breaking the vicious cycle of inflammation in her G.I. tract, I will keep the other half of the bottle in the fridge for future issues if they ever recur.
Best of luck to all!
