I bought this for my puppy's first birthday after seeing it in Pet Tails magazine. It did have the "bacon" smell as advertised and it was great for keeping her busy eating the treats that can be hidden inside. Once the treats were gone, she started chewing on it, and while the pig part is pretty strong, she shredded the rope within minutes. The toy can still be used without the rope, but had I not been there to supervise her, she might have swallowed pieces of the rope, which came apart very easily. It's a nice toy, but I would recommend cutting off the rope before using.

So if you have a puppy that loves to chew this won't last. The puppy loved it, and figured out how to get the treats out fairly quickly, but then just chewed the whole top off. So it got thrown away.Buy Doggy Hoots Big Piggies Treat Dispenser Now

I bought this for my son's Labrador Retriever. I bought the large one. I suggest getting large treats because it took a lot of "treats" to fill it. He had to use some patience but in the end he had a great time chewing on it and figured how to roll it to have the treats come out. Seems pretty indestructible.
