I love the larger pouch portion of this product. It works as advertised and it's great to have a place to stash small items when it is hot outside and I don't have the luxury of coat pockets to cram all my gear into. The smaller portion meant to hold/dispense doggie bags has no inner support and an "x" cut in the fabric for removing bags. I guess if you crammed a few loose bags in there that might be useful, but I buy bags by the roll, and after a few days removed this portion of the product and retached my trustworthy bone shaped dispenser. The color is listed as orange, but it is a color I see more commonly referred to as "guide gold"

I originally bought this because I wanted a leash mate for my flexi leash. It deosn't fit the flexi but instead is used for regular types of leads. Oh well... it was made nicely.Buy Kyjen Outward Hound Leash Mate Now
My first impression about the leash mate was, "Wow that's really cool my dogs can carry my keys". The leash mate has adjustable straps for leash attachment and it also has a pocket and dispenser for pooch bags which is pretty awesome. The bag itself has an extra little bag which is detachable just in case you didn't wanna carry so much stuff. Big plus!Read Best Reviews of Kyjen Outward Hound Leash Mate Here
My wife and I decided that this was the year that we were going to get healthy, and of course, our pup was along for the ride. Of course, when you are out walking, jogging and to some extent hiking, the name of the game is to have as little with you as possible there's nothing worse than trying to jog with a bunch of keys in your pocket! The Outward Hound leash mate offers a very smart solution to many problems, and I would like to thank Boycott Boring for sending me a sample to review.DESIGN/QUALITY
Well, as with all of the Outward Hound accessories, this thing is built to last using hiking backpack-grade nylon that is very durable! The velcro for attaching it to your leash (and keeping the smaller compartment attached is very good at its job. What I am most pleased with, however, is the design. There are two compartments a small one up front with a cross-shaped opening, perfect for storing waste bags, and then a large compartment that closes with a zipper. The larger compartment usually is filled with house keys, a phone and ID/money just in case. By being detachable, you can keep just the waste-bag part on your leash which you know you will almost always need! The four velcro loops do a very good job at not only keeping the Leash Mate attached, but firmly in place so that your important items aren't spinning around the leash.
FUNCTIONALITY
As I have already touched on, this is perfect for bringing with you everything you might need when out and about with your dog. It really has made our jogs a lot easier, and has meant that we are never without a waste bag when needed!
OVERALL
This is by far our favorite Outward Hound product, and really has made our lives a whole lot easier. Being so functional and well made, I have no problem giving this product five stars. Even though I was sent a sample to review, I have already purchased a second for our back-up leash, and recommend this to anyone at the dog park who mentions it. Highly recommended!

This is a fantastically useful gadget for the dog on the go. The smaller front part is a poop bag dispenser, and while I didn't actually buy it for that part, it has become the poop bag dispenser of choice in our household, and we own several. For one thing, it's fabric, not hard plastic, so if you're holding the leash close to the dog's collar and drop the handle part it doesn't go crashing to the ground and come apart (or smack the dog on the top of the head). For another thing, it doesn't swing around, but rather attaches securely to the leash handle by two sets of Velcro straps. My husband isn't a fan of the dispensing action of it, since it's just some slits and you have to dig around for the end of the bag roll a bit, but frankly I spend hours and hours hauling this thing around on the leash and only a few seconds here and there actually pulling bags out of it, so I prefer it to be easily portable and I'm willing to sacrifice the extra two seconds to get the bag out. And again, it can be dragged around and not have the bags fall out. Reading this makes me feel like we abuse our leash a bit... hmmm...Anyway, on to the larger section, which is the actual reason I bought this thing. Again, it attaches to the leash handle by two sets of Velcro straps, so it's not bouncing around. It also attaches to the poop bag dispenser by more Velcro, forming a single entity of dog-gear-greatness, especially for those who find themselves out and about with their dogs for the entire day. Basically, it's big enough to hold a set of keys, a treat bag, and a collapsible dish, and maybe some food in a Ziploc or a wallet, which is all I ever really need it to hold. It's enough to get you through a trip to the dog park, or a long walk or trip to a friend's house. It also has a convenient handle to carry it around while off the leash.
Bottom line is, I don't use it if we're just walking around the neighborhood, but for longer treks, or walks requiring car keys, this thing is invaluable.
