The food is good so that makes the product ok. What I do not like is the price as it is almost like double what you will pay at Target or some other stores

Headline says 55 lbs! I thought I was getting a 55 lb bag, but got a 17 lb bag. re-read and realized it was for dogs over 55 lbs. That's fine. That's my error in not reading carefully enough. But other sellers are selling with Prime shipping for 15 to 18 bucks. so I will never use this seller again!!!! Wish I could return it, but I sent it to my disabled brother, who can't get to a post office, so I will just accept this was a really expensive mistake!

Less expensive than any store in my area (even when rarely on sale) AND I didn't have to struggle loading and unloading it from cart to cashier to car to house. (Felt bad for the delivery guy, tho!). Came well and tightly packaged and the food wasn't at all crushed as I feared it might be.

Pedigree is a reliably good quality dog food. I've fed my dogs various variations of Pedigree over the years and have never had a problem with it. This particular variation is specifically for large dogs. When you open the bag, you'll see why. The kibbles are large and chunky. Larger than any other variation of Pedigree I've used before. It says in the description that the large size pieces help to clean the dogs teeth because it forces the dog to actually chew the food rather than inhale it whole. It really seems to work in that regard. I've noticed my dog does take a little longer while eating and does actually seem to be chewing the food a bit before swallowing it.

The price of the different varieties of Pedigree does fluctuate a great deal here on Amazon. I try to check it often and when it's offered at a reasonable price, I will usually buy several bags. When it's priced on the lower end, it's usually cheaper than I can find it in any local store. But when it's on the higher end, it's sometimes not such a great deal.
