This toy was made of a soft rubber that my dog could easily chew. I would recommend this for small breeds but not for strong chewers.

I fill this with dog food and a few small treats as well. I give it to my dog when I get on the treadmill and it keeps her busy until I am done! She was able to bite thru it in one place though.

I purchased the large for my 50 lb lab mix. The side opening is just large enough to allow pieces of kibble to fall thru when tightened to the most challenging position. The toy easily dispenses food with just the nudge of a nose making this a good option for beginners. The top and bottom halves tend to come unscrewed easily making it very easy for all of the food to dump out. The toy is softer rubberized plastic making it quiet on hard floor surfaces. For that, it earns it's stars.

The toy is not very challenging, but it does slow down eating. For more challenging options, I recommend the Buster Cube or one of the Nina Ottosson games.

As many other reviews have stated or at least alluded to, this is for supervised play. If your dog chews everything up, it will chew this up too. Again the Buster Cube might be a better option, as it is too big to fit in most dog's mouths.

Overall, I am satified with the product, I just don't find it particularly inventive or impressive.

This toy comes with a very strong rubber odor. My puppy won't touch it. I tried soaking in hot water for a couple of days. It did not get rid of the odor at all. It's a total failure.

I own two Busy Buddy Twist N Treats in Medium. I have the blue one for Puppies and the purple one for dogs. I have two dogs, a King Charles / Beagle mix and a Shih-Tzu. Both are about 20 lbs. The Shih-Tzu isn't very destructive. He'll eat a bully stick or a pig ear in no time, but he isn't really into chewing other stuff. My King Beagle though, she is a chewer. She eats shoes, remote controls, contact lens cases, purses, and anything else she can get her little paws on. We have gone through three pet beds from Sept through January. These little pet beds Precision Pet SnooZZy "Original" Fleece Pet Bed, Small 2000, 25" x 20", Natural are no match for our little beast. These awesome toys that have the "silent squeakers" are also destroyed in a matter of minutes Hear Doggy 58509 Whale Dog Toy, Large. So far, the only toys that have survived our little terror are this treat ball and her Jolly Ball Jolly Pets Tug-N-Toss Jolly Pet Toy Ball, 6-Inch, Blueberry.

Of note though, I do not let me dogs have all of their toys all of the time. So this ball for example, is only given to her when it is a) filled with goodies and b) when I am able to take it away after an hour or so. If you make it too hard for your pet to get the treats out, they will get frustrated and try to destroy the ball. So, if you notice Buster trying to eat the treat ball, give it a twist so that the food comes out a little easier. Also, don't allow your dog to play with it when it is empty.
