My beloved golden retriever passed away today unexpectedly. The subsequent autopsy we requested showed that she had an intestinal blockage due to bone shards. We had purchased this product for the first time just 2 weeks ago. She loved it so much we bought a 2nd one a few days ago. For 5 years we only bought nylon bones with no issue. Upon closer examination of this knuckle bone, it was evident that it was prone to shredding. We've already contacted the manufacturer suggesting it be pulled from the market. I suggest you NOT use this product or if you do use it only under very close supervision. Your pet is too valuable to risk.

We have a 10 month old Yellow Lab who loves to chew and rawhides were destroyed in about 10 minutes. We found these and they have been a life saver! It has taken him weeks to get through one, and you can refill the cavity with Kong filling and freeze it for an added treat. They do tend to chip a little bit so we have had to vacuum more frequently in the areas he chews, but its well worth it!
