The lead is exactly as needed. Color, length, and thickness are perfect for the new pup. Thanks for your help.Works great thus far. Time will tell how durable it is. The rope used is not the highest quality, such as those used in "moutain rope" type leashes and collars. This is a lighter weight rope, but not cheap. It's easier on my pup's throat than his chain choke was, and it's great to be able to have him run around the house with just a standard collar with his tags on it, and then have a quick and easy easy choke built in to the leash to slip on him for jaunts outside.after this leash is around the dogs neck, you actually have a foot or 2 of leash in between your dogs neck and your hand, giving no room at all for a loose leash. its basically like putting a 1ft training loop on your dogs collar and just using that. no worth anything.
