Bought these in July 2012. I included two pics, so you can see the bag and the size of the dehydrated tripe nuggets. Tripe is a highly nutritious treat, so our girls just get two of these pieces as their evening snack. They love them! There is 5 ounces of dehydrated product in this bag, it says "product of USA" on the bag, and I like the size of the nuggets. There is a little smell, as there should be it's TRIPE! but it's not overwhelming. We will buy these again. I feel that they are a quality treat.

My dogs love these treats and so do I. They are small enough to give as training treats and are swallowed quickly. If a few are a bit big they are easy to break into smaller pieces without crumbling to dust. They aren't too smelly, and they aren't at all greasy on my hands. They contain no additives! The perfect treat for dogs with allergies!

We need stinky treats for Canine Nose Work training. These are not as stinky as others we have tried, but the size is good and they are not crumbly. So I mix them with my other treats for training.

I would guess that all dogs love tripe. This product does not smell disgusting as I suppose it is not green tripe, so is probably not as minimally processed as some I have tried, but it is also not as outrageously expensive, either. I miss the days when you could buy 6 oz of freeze dried green tripe on ebay for $5. Now Harveys sells this much for $34. Outrageous. But Vital Essentials is at least a better deal than this.

I mix a quarter of the tripe with a half of Vital essential freeze dried beef with a quarter of some high protein organ-based kibbble to make a "trail mix" for my three dogs. It is a nutrient-dense mix that takes up a small amount of space and weight and does not cost a fortune.

For training these dont mess up my pocket-they break easily so teeny pieces during a training session are possible. The dogs really love them and we had no stomach issues in any of our spaniels. Nice to have these.
