I loved the idea of a better treat for my dog than the average questionable treats. I'd purchased the Zuke's Z-Bone cherry flavor first and she LOVED it. It was gone in about 20 minutes and she was hoping for more. She normally goes for apples and apple-flavored foods in the house so I thought this would be a hit. Gave it to her and she was less than interested... She looked at it for a while before tasting it and only chewed on it for about 30 seconds before she left it alone for the night. We kept giving it to her for a few days but it was the same reaction every single time. Finally, since we couldn't just leave it lying around the house because it would definitely stain the carpet, we just chucked it outside for her to chew if she decided to. It took about a month before she finally got bored often enough to eat it all. It never really was able to hold her interest for longer than about 10-15 minutes at a time. I would NEVER get this flavor ever again. For the price, it was definitely not worth the completely lack-luster attitude toward it from our dog. Also, if you're trying it for the first time, maybe go for the much smaller one. I made the mistake of buying the bigger one because it was a better value and it's the correct size for her weight but it was ridiculously painful to know I'd wasted so much money for her to not really even touch it.

I've given Zukes products to my dogs many times. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to the "giant" term on the package. I am constantly looking for grain free chewable treats that last more than ten minutes with my dogs. They are 65lbs and 72lbs and not much lasts with these two (except for my shoes, they leave those alone).I hoped by ordering the "giant" bone, it would give them a half hour of tasty treat. It lasted 8 mins for one, 12 for the other. It wasn't very big and didn't offer enough density to challenge their chewing.
The smell was fine and it did clear their stinky breath for a few minutes.
I don't think I'll spend the money again, its just not worth it with how long it lasts.

My dog likes this somewhat but the odor of the bone as you hold it for him is horrible! I had to place it in a plastic bag but I guess since a human is not eating it or must smell it I guess it was worth the price! The biggest issue is the bone was expensive but adding the shipping which was more expensive I think other alternatives are better!!
