I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package (which arrived quickly) to find that these canisters are not cheaply manufactured. The metal is solid but lightweight. I purchased one set of six and within 10 minutes of their arrival I'd washed them all and filled them with cat treat, sugar, flour, rice, etc. This is the second set of 6 I purchased to keep my pantry organized.
