To begin, I love the concept of a product that gives back. Well done. I also loved their ambitious goal of creating a toy for my dog that will last. I bought these for my dog and my sister's two dogs. My sister's dogs, a pit mix and a chug, both love the squeaker and will play with it for several minutes without any treats in it. The toy has done its job well as far as they are concerned.
My dog, a lab/border collie mix, is another story. I could go the route of being "that parent" who says their child is so advanced, that this toy could not live up to the high standard she needs. However, I'm a teacher and I know better. =) She's just an incredibly extreme chewer, the kind who enjoys dissecting and breaking apart anything she's provided. Within about 5 minutes, she had the little foot pads off, and after a good 20 minutes of working at it, she'd broken off half of one bulb. To the toy's credit, usually it takes about 5-10 minutes for her to work through a toy. To provide a better idea of how she operates, the only toys we've managed to find that she can use repeatedly without destroying are the large Kong and Kong Extreme (she's worked through the other Kong products).
So bottom line, as long as you don't have an extreme destructo dog, this toy will be just fine.

So when I was browsing a pet store a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the "Chews Your Cause" line of toys by Dura Doggie. A new company and created by three college students (according to their website), the socially conscious company donates 20% of the profits to charites connected to each different color. I bought a pink toy to support fighting breast cancer and a green one to help save the planet. They also support fighting diabetes (orange toys) and saving animals (blue toys). I bought the toys because of the concept, but I found out that these toys are really great toys. Eco-friendly, and durable against my dogs. Even if they end up chewing up the toys, I am going to keep buying these toys for my dogs because of what these guys are doing with the whole giving back concept.Cool products, great social concept, and my dogs love the toys.I have a 40 lb siberian husky who goes through toys pretty quickly. This was his favorite toy for a while (months). He broke the squeaker in about 30min, but he still loved playing with it. It's lightweight enough for him to carry around, and it bounces all over the place (on carpet and/or hard floor). He loves it because it changes direction quickly. Has a nice vanilla smellThis is my rat terriers(I have 4)favorite toy. This is the only chew toy that holds up to their intense chewingAside from the little blue knobs on the outside, my tenacious dachshund has yet to succeed in destroying this toy. And the squeak is still intact!
