Ok, let me start off that I have two very large Malamutes, who not only crave, but must have seafood in their diet. I have done allot of research and moved from Costco grain free brand two years ago. I sucked it up, when it came to the price, but if I can purchase it on Amazon, the price isnt that big of a deal. I r a firm believer in "pay me now, or pay me later" when it comes to animal nutrition. I have witnessed and learned what cheap, processed dog food can do to your animals. I REALLY make every effort not to feed my animals food processed by Diamond (helloCostco!) and since Costco didn't give a rip, well I had to.
Although, I think the raw diet is better than anything out there and, as the consumer, you can verify where the meat is coming from in raw then use that. Alas, when you reside in rural America, sometimes raw is not an option. (me) So... i had to do my homework. Nurtisource, to my knowledge, does not use Diamond to make their line of pet foods. I love that they are grain free, and although not sweet potato free, these diets are good for my breed to dog. I LOVE that there is a product by Nutrisource that is grain free and potato free! I use that one on my older dog, from which I learned too much potato or sweet potato can lead to major problems when they age.
Right now, my puppy is off Large Breed Puppy by Nutrisource, due to caloric intake (she's a giant so we regulate that ) so she doesn't grow to big too fast and I switched her to GF Seafood, which she LOVES and I mix it with a tad bit of Beef wet from same company. No problems, no gas, no bloating. F'in great! I think this is a fabulous product and I hope they keep NOT using Diamond processing :)
Better than Iams, Better than allot of the foods out thereDO YOUR RESEARCH ON WHERE YOUR PETS FOOD IS PROCESSED! IT can really cost you $$$ in the end.
