First let me start out by saying that I really like this toy. I have two weimaraners who love to chew on things and love the challenge of getting treats out from the Hold'ems Treat Holder.

This toy is great for stuffing a variety of treats. I usually use carrots or celery, but also use beggin' strips or other store bought treats.

The only negative I have with this item is that with all the wear and tear from the Weims, one end is close to ripping off after 3 months.

I don't think this is necessarily unexpected with as much as they play with it. Perhaps it is more impressive that it lasted as long as it did. However, when compared to the black kongs, it just isn't as durable, which leads to a 4 star rating.

As long as your dog isn't a heavy duty chewer, I would highly recommend this item!

I bought one of these for my 110# Rottie, 2 1/2 years ago.....still in great condition. I fill it every day when I leave for work & every evening when I get home, she is still trying to figure out how to get the treats out of it. I did buy another one recently, but only because I couldn't find the original one. Then it showed up under the steps. So now she has two. I definitely recommend this treat toy for any size dog (because even my 8# Min-Pin tries to get the treats out of this), especially if your work keeps you away from home for too long during the day these are great entertainers.

I have a 120 pound Chesapeake and 80 pound Samoyed who love theses (i also bought the smaller one). The thing i love about these is that they are far more engaging than a typical 4" curl rawhide and lasts longer. Something else to think about is one of these little insert sticks lasts a long time if the dog does not figure out how to get it out, you can even break it in smaller pieces so if he does get at it not all of it will come out at once.

This makes the dog think about how to get the snack out and lasts 10 time longer than the curl. I would go through a 12 pack of curls a week and the Chessie would finish his curl in 5 minutes. I too had my dog tear one of the flaps ends off, its a star cut you poke the treat through to lodge in the toy, one of sections got torn off. In small pieces this rubber will pass right through your dog with out any issue.

Even with the tear i love this, in the long run i will save a ton of money not buying the Rawhides every week, instead i will just buy replacement sticks as needed and once in a while replace the toy.

My dogs love this, BUT I was a little mislead by the picture. I had 2 of these for my 2 medium size dogs and they loved it, but one of their large friends got a hold of them and kind of did some damage which made it too easy for them to get them treat out. So I needed new ones. Well, all I knew was that they were red and the picture looked like the ones we had before. Wrong! It came to me yellow and much bigger. I just wished Amazon would attach an accurate picture with the product! Otherwise, these can occupy my dogs for a relaxing evening!

So I put the treat in that comes with the toy and I have no idea how the dog is supposed to get it out. I cant even get the damn treat out. The holes are so tiny, I dont think they even make treats small enough to fall out of them, and the x flaps on the side are pretty sturdy, I stick my finger in and its like a chinese finger trap. Now my dog unfortunately doesnt have fingers so she cant get by these flaps. I like toys where dogs have to work for treats, but if it is impossible to get the treats they lose interest which is the case I have here. All the great reviews on here are BS, probably written by nylabone.
