On the advice of our trainer, we switched to Instinct from Blue Buffalo, serving mostly kibble. One of our dogs had a constant hacking cough (vet had no idea what was causing it) and discoloration around her front paws and bottom jaw. Within 3 days of switching, the hack was gone! The discoloration also seems to have lessened quite a bit.
Since Instinct also has the canned, we started giving them canned twice a week for dinner. They go absolutely nuts for this food! We also buy the raw frozen pieces and give them that once a week for dinner. Think they go nuts for the canned, they go over the top for the raw!my dog is in his second remission from lymphoma and the doctor suggested a grain-free cooked diet. he is 3 years out from his initial diagnosis and people can't believe his age (10) or that he's ever been sick! the product arrives consistently well-packed and the quality of the food itself is consistent. i'll admit that my dog has a healthier diet than i do!this is a great product for dogs diet, how ever it's getting very pricey, may have to find another productThis product is great, but 3 out of the 12 cans were dented. I should have read the reviews before ordering...I use this product at the recommendation of my vet for my 2 cats. Yes, I know the label says it is dog food, but the vet reassured me that the contents are the same for dogs or cats, and the larger cans are more economical. I put a large meatball-sized portion in their dish along with a smaller portion of dry food for their supper and they love it. I usually order a case each of beef and chicken to give them some variety. I have recently ordered the salmon, but it has not arrived yet. I have tried other flavors as well the duck & rabbit but I personally did not care for the smell even though the cats loved it.
