I've bought at least 20 of these containers and use all of them in my kitchen. I like the fact they stack and can be stacked. Be careful, though, as there are two kinds of these containers made by OXO. They look almost identical, but they aren't. One is flush at the top and the other has a wider lip, and I bought some of both, unintentionally. The square pop up is the one that is flush at the top and the one with the circle bulges slightly at the top. I like the square at the top, because they don't take up extra space and can be stacked neatly.

I purchased this container so that it would be easy to dispense dry cat food, while at the same time keeping it fresh. It works perfectly in both respects. The container is solidly built, easy to handle and designed to last.

When I open a new bag of cat food, rather than keep it in the bag, I simply pour it into the OXO container. There's a large push button on the top of the container. When pushed, it locks the top on, and when pushed again, it unlocks the top. This makes it a breeze to remove the top and pour the needed amount of cat food into a feeding dish. When done, I simply put the top back on, press the button, and I'm all set. The button also servers as a handle, making it easy to remove.

The rounded corners of the container make for extremely easy dispensing and the tall dimensions take up much less space in my cabinet, making it much easier to store. When stored and locked with the button down, the cat food remains fresh, as there's a very effective airtight seal. The large opening at the top of the container makes it a cinch to clean.

The bottom line is that this is the perfect container for storing and dispensing dry pet food, as well as a variety of other items. It has an extremely well thought out design and is manufactured to last a lifetime. It comes highly recommended.

exactly what I have been looking for, one container to keep flour and sugar, keep some more space free on my counters, I am in the market for some in different sizes for pasta rice coffee etc. My issue is, that the protective packaging was almost nonexistent and my 'new' canisters are scratched and look used. I answered Amazons survey question about packaging and told them about the damage with pictures. I feel I paid enough for shipping and handling. Have had no response. Will be buying the rest of my oxo containers else were.

I love how this container seals airtight. It holds my dog's food and keeps it fresh. I use the smaller size for dog treats.
