This puzzle is rather too simple to really be called a puzzle... It's simple for a dog to knock the pegs over with his nose which happened when my dog was just sniffing at it and checking it out and discover treats underneath!
However, I think it's a good puzzle to introduce your dog to the puzzle concept. My dog won't try to get at treats if he thinks he can't... But with this puzzle, I was able to progress to a slightly harder one where I hid treats under tennis balls I stuck into a muffin pan. With that one he HAD to pick up the balls to find them. Then from there I could go to harder and harder puzzles. Now he enjoys the challenge!
Plus I've seen a similar puzzle toy almost exactly like this one in my local pet store but it was plastic. This one is much better quality, and being wood it held up much better.
