I've been a big fan of Free Range Dog Chews but recently I found out that their chicken breast wraps treats that were used to manufacture in Brazil is now in China. This treats were one of the favorites of my dogs, but I will discontinue using them. I just can't trust dog food or treats made in China after having so many recalls regarding the ingredients from China. I went to their website, but it's no longer in use. I don't know if they are re-creating their website, but I'm hoping they get the ingredients source from Brazil again instead...

I've been purchasing this item from Digit pet for quite a while, I have spent hundreds of dollars on these treats. This last shipment the treats were discolored and they did not smell right. I was not going to risk my dog's health. I called Digit pet to let them know this batch was defective and/or old. They said I could return the item but I had to pay for the shipping to return to them. Seeing that I was a long term customer, I think they should have sent me a return label and covered the shipping expense to return the item. I asked if they had to pay shipping to return this item to their vendor, and she said no. At this point I will not purchase from them again, they just lost a very good customer.

Buy Free Range Chicken Breast Wraps w/ Apple Dog Chew Treats, 12oz Now

Prior to this purchase, I had been a staunch supporter of Dog Nips brand (previously "Free Range" brand) chicken wrapped apple treats. And, perhaps it's just this particular merchant that sold me old, outdated dog treats.? But in any case, they made both my dog & my parent's dog puke.

Only after both dogs became sick did I closely inspect the bags for an expiration date. The only thing I could find was an imprint on the front that said "LOT # 20110305." I took this as an expiration date of March 5, 2011. I just recently bought the treats (in October 2011,) so they were very outdated! When I received them, the chicken had indeed appeared somewhat darker in color than other bags I've bought in the past, but I didn't think a whole lot of it. After the dogs became sick, however, I felt I had to discontinue feeding them to our dogs. 3 BAGS & APPROXIMATELY $50 DOWN THE DRAIN!

I was very unhappy with the purchase, and I wouldn't recommend ever buying doog food or treats online because of this experience!

I tried this product once. My dogs loved them. Just found out they are made in China, where everything is inferior. They are also made dirt cheap. But the price of 3 bags pushing $50 is what put me over the top. One of my dogs is Newfie, so 3 bags is a snack. I don't like this buying from China and being charged a quality 'Made In America' price. It's a dog treat for pete's sake. I guess my babies will have to do w/o this poor quality high priced item.

The best part about these is they can be literally jammed into the Large size Kong stuffable dog toys and my aggressive chewer Dobermans will enjoy chewing them to get the treats out for quite a while because its such a tight fit!

Another up side is they are allergen-free for my Doberman who's allergic to rice, corn, peas, carrots, and the list goes on and on.

The dogs love them, too!

The down side of these treats is that they're made in China.

My local specialty pet food store used to carry them a little bit cheaper, but now that they don't anymore I'll buy them here!
