At first, my 60lb lab, Jones, didn't care much about this toy. I showed him how it worked and he liked the treat part but quickly gave up. For us, the trick was starting with smaller treats, like his kibble. These were much easier to get out and offered him a quick reward. It's only been 3 days since I gave him the toy but he gets VERY excited now when he sees it and is more resolute in getting the treats out. He doesn't even notice when I leave the house anymore if he has this, and he's a dog that doesn't let his people get out of sight.

Jones will push it around the room and spike it like a football to try to get the treats out, but the toy is made of a soft rubber that is not loud as it gets knocked around the house. It also doesn't roll under most of the furniture as other balls do because of it's size.

I agree it won't be the easiest to clean, but I think a dishwasher will do just fine and maybe some paper towel shoved in to collect the water that won't drain easily after. Not a big deal for a toy that makes my guy so happy.

This treatball is too soft, and allows puppies to chew on it. It took less than 20 minutes for our Westie to chew another hole in the ball in order to get the treats out.

My dog is a 2.5 year old Border Collie/Aussie mix. He spends at least 20-30 mins 2-4 times a day playing with this ball. I think your dog might need to be a smarter dog who would understand that if he fiddles with the ball by rolling it around or in my dogs case he picks it up and bounces it until his treat falls out. If your dog isn't one who can see the logic in this, then he/she might just bite the plastic and chew it up because that is the only way they think the treats are coming out!

Jackson, LOVES this ball. The ball is soft enough that he can bounce it, he probably could chew through it but he sees that there is another way to get the treats out. We LOVE THIS! At night he puts his paw on one side of the ball and his cheek on the other and sleeps cuddled up to his favorite toy! Best investment! We have a second home and we are going to buy another one for the other home so we don't have to worry about carrying the toy back and forth!

the concept is good but the opening is too large (dispensing treats way too quickly), filling the toy is time consuming, and treat remains are a bit difficult to retrieve.
