We rescued a Cairn Terrier, and were trying to help him learn 'the rules of the house' like where to poo, and where not to. We wanted to reward him for doing well, but he didn't like ANY of the usual doggie treats. He declined MilkBones, pig ears, compressed rawhides in all flavors, liver treats, all of them. Then we saw these in a large chain pet store, and decided to try them. Worst case, he wouldn't like it.
We got home, and he was sniffing the bag like crazy. When he started trying to bite through the bag, we took him outside. He promptly did all his business, and when we got inside HE SAT UP for this treat. That was a surprise! We didn't know he could do that!
Needless to say, Malcolm loves his Bully Bones, braided, straight, and curly. And now that he knows he'll get a good treat, his behavior has been exemplary. He wants to make sure he does well so he can get his Bullies.
