Our dog loves these. When given a choice between a regular rawhide, Smart Bones wins every time. Definitely viewed as a treat. We also prefer these to rawhides which can leave a chewy mess on furniture which isn't as much of a problem with Smart Bones. However, rawhides are great because they keep our dog occupied for hours. Our dog goes through Smart Bones in less than 30 minutes. I'll continue to get these since they are so loved but I'll have to keep looking for a suitable and safe substitute for rawhide.

We had decided not to give our dog rawhide, but he is an aggressive chewer and needed something to chew on. I ordered the SmartBones hoping for a substitute for the Dingo Bones we had given our previous dog. Bogie loves the SmartBonese, and they last quite a while, although not as long as a rawhide bone. The fantastic part is they are made from vegetables and are easily digested. We are dedicated SmartBone users. I give them an A++++++++++++.Buy SmartBones Value Pack Medium 4/pk Chicken Now
SmartBones appears to be an excellent treat for my dogs. They all will pick the peanut butter over the chicken but they will eat the chicken. I prefer to use these instead of rawhide. They seem to be a little pricey maybe because they do not last long when you have more than one dog.Read Best Reviews of SmartBones Value Pack Medium 4/pk Chicken Here
I selected this treat because like many others, I am looking for a rawhide alternative for my 9 month basenji mix. The bag says it will satisfy her instinct to chew but unless your dog is satisfied in two minutes, this bone won't do the trick. After two minutes she had only one knobby end left that we had to take away from her since she tends to swallow treats and I was afraid she'd choke.Of course she liked the taste, but she's a little pig and will eat any treat you give her.
Next time I want to occupy my pup for two minutes ill give her a couple ice cubes. It will keep her busy for dive minutes and not cost me a dime.At 16 pounds, it took her about 5 minutes to eat one of these. Will buy again but not as a regular treat because the way she goes through them, it would cost me a small fortune.
