I have an 18 month old pit bull/labrador mix who destroys all plush toys and most rubber toys as soon as they enter the house. The only things that haven't been utterly annihilated are Nylabones, Kongs, marrow bones, and balls. She only seems like toys that you can stuff with food, or that she can destroy. Once the Kongs are empty, they get completely ignored. I thought the Tux would be another dud in my never-ending quest to find a toy to keep her occupied for more than ten minutes. Strangely enough, even when empty of food, our pup has taken to carrying the Tux around everywhere. She'll periodically try to destroy it...without success, I might add the Zogoflex is amazingly tough. She wears herself out regularly by throwing the Tux around and pouncing on it, and even sleeps with it. This thing is like puppy crack and so far it hasn't even shown any signs of wear. I'm amazed. I actually find it superior to the Kong in that there is no top hole to plug, and the cavity for treat stuffing is actually quite large. I usually stuff a large chunk of carrot into the cavity and fill the rest with yogurt or peanut butter, and then freeze the whole thing. Keeps her occupied for hours. You can also stuff the Hurley in the cavity, which we tried, but she showed no interest, but that may have been due to the lack of peanut butter. All in all, this was probably one of the best dog toys I've found for a heavy chewer/destructo-dog.

We have a beagle mix with a very strong jaw and she's destroyed just about every toy we've given her but not this one! She loves it and carries it all over the place and likes to pick it up, jump on the couch, drop it and chase after it! I'll also cram some doggy biscuits in and it keeps her busy when I need her busy for a little while! Will definitely try their other products. We also have a kong and she hadn't destroyed that but she only showed an interest in playing with that when I put treats in it and other than that she'd just ignore that one. Something about the shape of this makes it more interesting for her to grip and play with.

We got this for a small 19 pound chewer. We got the West Paw Design large Hurley bone at the same time. You can put a treat inside the ball and then push one end of the Hurley bone into the open side of the ball. It took the dog a couple of hours the first time to get the two apart so he could get the treat. The second time 30 minutes and the next time immediately. That's OK. This has a great bounce and you never know which direction it will bounce in. This keeps the dog on his toes. We have prior experience with toys from this company and always return for more. They make long lasting toys that are reasonably priced.

I read some reviews on this toy 1st because i was having a similar issue with going through dog toys too fast at $10 to $15 each. My doberman has not managed to destroy this one at all and has played with it for over a month now! Great toy!
