I have a 12 year old Weim who's had arthritis for years (which is in both hips, spine and front legs as well). We added Hip Flex to her regime (supplements, gluc. fish oil, etc) about a year ago on someone's advice, expecting to see no result. Not only does she love the "cherry chews" as we call them, they've actually made an improvement. Her worst hip is less tender and she bears more weight on it now. We won't go without them. I was told to see results in 1 to 1 1/2 weeks, but I think it might have started to help more quickly than that.

I first received this product in a donated gift basket in a silent auction for a dog rescue. I found that my dogs (2) absolutely loved them and I had to track down where to purchase them. (I did find them in the town where I live, but found a better price on Amazon). After reading what was in Hip Flex I knew that this product would be good for my dogs. I give these to my Golden Retrievers every day. They gobble them down and want more (only give required amount to size of dog, per day)

I wasn't sure if this item would really work. After a day or two there were no fleas on my dogs. I check them on a regular basis, and they have been flea free since starting to use this product. The price is great. Also, I have bought Hartz flea drops before, and not only did they not work well, but they irritated one of my dogs skin and made a sore where I put it on. This product caused no irritation.

I have used this food in the past, so I already knew the great quality. The only reason I don't use it now is price. I bought these samples to use as treats when training my pup, so he could have a healthier treat. My pup loves these treats, even more than his own food. I may just have to try to squeeze this food back into my budget, cause he is really picky. I would highly recommend this food to anyone that wants a great dog food.

Cloud Star Grain Free Oven Baked Buddy Biscuits Dog Treat

Customer Ratings:
List Price: Price Unavailable
Sale Price: $10.58

This is a five-star product selling at twice what it should be. Check out any other pet vendor. It should be $6/per box. Heck, we get them at our local petstore in NYC for $6/box. But the treats are fantastic, no grains, my dogs have been enjoying Cloud Star products for years and I'm thrilled they are making crunchy no-grain dog biscuits. In fact, I buy these by the half-dozen at my usual pet supplier. I was getting them autoshipped by Amazon but not at these prices!

As a veterinarian, I love Cloud Star products for several reasons. First of all, I love how they commit 10% of their net profits to non-profit organizations (which benefit not only four-legged pets, but also women, children, and the environment). Secondly, all their products are made in the USA, which is really important. With the recent FDA voluntary recalls on treats from China (e.g., chicken jerky treats, sweet potato treats, etc.), I never advocate that my clients feed treats, food, etc. from China. With Cloud Star products, I fully understand all the ingredients. Lastly, my dog loves them: both the wet variety and the dried. Great for filling Kong products to entertain him while I'm away.

With the smooth aged cheddar flavor, the ingredients are: chickpea flour, pea flour, tapioca starch, potato flour, cheddar cheese, expeller pressed canola oil and mixed tocopherols (to prevent spoiling).

Personally, I will state that the majority of dogs are not gluten, corn, or wheat intolerant, so that aspect isn't a huge selling point for me. Grain free is OK in my opinion in dogs that are NOT allergic to them. Regardless, you know what you're getting with these products.

I'm NOT an advocate of making cats vegetarian (they are carnivores). Dogs are omnivores and generally prefer a meat-based diet (e.g., the first ingredient in your dog food should ideally be meat). However, if you're looking for a good vegetarian biscuit, this one fits!

I LOVE that these cookies look like actual cookies: gingerbread men! They are fun to give my dogs and my dogs love them. They are very crunchy too. But in the whole box only about 1/4 of the cookies were remotely whole. All of the rest were broken in pieces: arms, legs, heads, bits of torso. Sad :(

Beefeater Munchy Stix, 5-Inch

Customer Ratings:
List Price: Price Unavailable
Sale Price: $10.35
Today's Bonus:

Our three pooches get a Beefeaters Munchy Stick every day, usually in the evening. They look forward to this daily ritual with great anticipation. When the treats are presented to the three girls, each assumes her position apart from the others and commences chewing. Between five and ten minutes the Stix are history, and three happy girls are searching for some fortuitous crumbs. We've been following this routine for years and the dogs have never tired of these chew treats. We do vary the flavor of the Stix, and have even purchased Beefeater variations on the theme that target the coat, calm jittery nerves, or help build cartilage with glucosamine. Occasionally we've run out of Beefeeaters and had to substitute other brands while waiting for our mail order supply to arrive. Our pooches seem to prefer the Beefeaters brand.

No matter which flavor we choose, the girls love their Beefeaters Munchies.

Initially, I started buying this product because it is not made in China which had so many recalls. I also was looking for ground raw hide chews that did not have chicken or beef since one of my dogs is allergic to that.

In addition to all of the other premises, my dogs seem to enjoy these chews so much! They're totally safe also since they desintegrade in their mouth while, at the same time, they help keep their teeth in good shape and clean.

Very reasonably priced at Costco, not so much here. (Dogs didn't like the Kirkland dry dog food though, so I switched to Blue Buffalo).

I used to get these for my dogs. I consider them more of a toy they eat than a snack. These will take up quite a bit of my dogs time as individuals as well as give them something play with. The one things is they never get fully eaten and end up getting tossed about a week later as they lay on the floor or biodegrade in the back yard. They are worth there money, its worth a try to see if your dogs like it.

A good treat is buying frozen marrow bones at your grocers and freezing them. My dogs love them, and being frozen the don't make much of a mess and last 3x's as long. Just lock them in the kitchen or send them out back, these are not for rugs.

Our dogs love these, we have a minature dachshund and a mix breed that weighs about 50lbs. THey both love to chew on these, all day every day, I have to buy in bulk. THey are not messy as they have no filling in the center that crumbles everywhere like other brands! THey also do not leave any sort of stain. It's their favorite by far. GReat for keeping their teeth tarter free too.

I ordered this treat bag because I thought they were the perfect treats for my large bull mastiff. Unfortnately, they were not large. Yes the amount (10) is good for the price but they were much smaller than I thought I was going to receive. I'd rather make a purchase for these bones at the store.

I am a blue buffalo fanatic. I have a 16 year old teacup poodle and a 1 year old mini-weiner and I have both of them on Blue food and treats.

I like the health bars because I do not feel guilty to give them multiple every day. I have bacon egg and cheese, apples and yogurt, and chicken liver. The poodle prefers the chicken liver, while the Daschund goes crazy over all 3.

I use Blue dry food for 2 meals a day, and canned food for 1. I feel like this has played a part in Deek living to be 16, and I will never feed either of my dogs anything else.

These are pretty big treats for both of my dogs, they eat what they want and then hide the rest for later normally.

If you are thinking about this, you might also want to look into Blue Bites, and Blue Bones.

I trust only items that are made in the USA. I believe they tend to be safer than those made abroad. My one dog has gotten extremely sick from eating some treats that were made overseas, but never from those made in the USA. Best of all, my dogs love the treats. Ordered three bags before and going to order more!

I have been buying these chicken treats and a few others from Smokehouse for years. I have a small dog with a very small mouth and even smaller teeth. She is a Japanese Chin and she loves these treats. They are the right size for her and she can chew them with ease. Many other treats were just too big or too hard for her to do anything with. These are perfect and I can't find them anywhere in the pet or local stores here. I always order more from Amazon when her supply gets low. I order two bags at a time in order to receive the free shipping. They are in a sealed bag and stay fresh. Why pay shipping when you don't have to? My dog and I are VERY happy with this item. I even bought 'duck treats' accidentally once, and she loved them too. And the fact that they are made in USA makes them even better.

I refuse to purchase any product "made in China" or even "Made in China, and inspected in the USA". Needless to say, this is not easy. After trying several treats, healthy being the second most important issue, and one that she would eat, (I gave several away)

I found this. I LOVE THEM!! SHE LOVES THEM!! I add 5-6 pieces to her 2 meals a day and she is so healthy, my VET LOVES THEM!!

Nylabone Dura Chew Bone, Original Flavor, Giant

These are my dog's "inside bones". They last and last and last without turning into little chunks all over the rug. The dog is an 85 pound "working dog" which means high energy and really annoying when bored. He's had some of these nylabones for over two years. I only have to replace them when he sneaks one outside and buries it.

Yes, letting the dog out has its own ritual. "Inside bone!" -clunkas bone drops to the floor, hopefully missing my foot.

In comparison, the "outside" bones tend to be the leg bones of ungulates. Those things are solid, but he eats them anyway. I think. He does seem to enjoy burying them, digging them up, burying them elsewhere, and trying to smuggle those filthy things into the house. "Outside bone!" -clunk He also likes to carry and chew up firewood. Nothing lasts like a nylabone. Nothing is less messy inside the house than a nylabone.

I buy the "giant" size because it gives me a better grip for those tugs-of-war.

Very weird that the dog knew there were nylabones in the amazon box and that they were his.

I would not recommend this product for anyone who cares about their pet. Apparently the manufacturer of this product does not take measures to insure their product is safe. I ordered the correct size of bone for my Labrador Retriever according to the manufacturers size chart. Brand new out of the package no more than 10 minutes, while my dog was chewing on the bone, a large piece about the size of a marble broke off and my dog swallowed it. I examined the bone and discovered there were numerous air bubbles in the casting making the bone weak and susceptible to breaking. I can only hope that the consumed part of this product will pass without any complications. I will not buy this product again and will be going to normal beef bones in the future.

The Nylabones are wonderful... I have two incredibly strong chewing Labs and these bones will last at least 4 months of heavy chewing. The bones arrived on time, as promised! The price was far lower than big box pet stores and far cheaper than the online pet businesses I usually frequent.

My dog loves to chew plastic things...eyes on teddy bears and plastic lids. Before she was a strong chewer I had given her other Nylabone products and she really liked them so I thought I'd try the durable bone. It has a flavor to it so she will chew on it for long periods of time. She also hasn't chewed plastic things because whenever she goes for them I throw her a durable bone and she chews that instead. I think she likes the flavor.

If your dog isn't an avid chewer Nylabone makes flexible and other flavored bones that come apart easier. My dog is a year old and she just started chewing a lot. She has enjoyed the puppy bones and flexible bones. Now she has graduated to durable.

Nylabone is a great product and I plan on using it for a long time.

Want Nylabone Dura Chew Bone, Original Flavor, Giant Discount?

My German Shepherd is not really interested in this bone. He likes many natural bones but really is not interested in this one so it was not really useful to me. However, if your dog goes for this bone it will probably provide hours of pleasure. Recommended with reservations.
