I originally bought this for one of our cats as a special treat for an after-bath time bribe (he's a sphynx and so needs a bath about once a week, but is none too thrilled about it!). He loves all of the Whole Life treats, but the venison seems to be his hands-down favorite. In fact, he loves this particular kind so much that he'll try to sneak into the pantry to get after the bag!

Turns out, though, that the venison is a "family" favorite...now every time I give him a post-bath treat I have to be sure to give some to our other cat AND the dog! It is expensive but it's worth every penny to me (see below) and a bag really does go a long way (I break the chunks of freeze-dried meat into much smaller pieces).

I love that it's high quality (human-grade meat) and doesn't have any additives, etc. Also, it's high protein, low carb and low fat, so I don't feel guilty at all for giving it to our pets. I now keep a bag or two in the pantry all the time!

my weimeraner loves these treats. I like to give him the healthier dog treats and food with little addetives and or all natural and this meets that criteria. It is a little expensive for what you get but i put the bigger pieces inside his KONG and let him fight to get it out to keep him busy for a little while.

My cat Max would eat the entire package if I let him. The cat and dog treats are made up of the same ingredients so I get the dog treats because they are 2 oz. The cat treats are only 1 oz. Max loves the Venison! I'm not sure all cats would. Bengals are a little different. I'm sure all cats would love the Salmon & also the Chicken.

We have mostly toy breed dogs and they go nuts over this flavor. The only downside is we have to break the biscuit into smaller bits and they're a bit hard to break evenly. I'm pretty sure Nutro has a small breed treat, it was just that these were more economical at the time we purchased them. Overall, I'd definitely buy again

I have a 60 pound Labrador / Husky mix who's coat has been a little dry lately. I was looking for some good treats to give her that would help keep her coat soft, fluffy and healthy and it seemed as though these treats were the best choice. The fish oil is also good for her heart.

When I first got the product, I noticed the bag was good quality didn't seem like a thin piece of plastic, but something that would keep the treats fresh. However, the resealable top is a bit hard to actually reseal.

To me, these treats actually smell pretty delicious; my boyfriend, however, can't stand them because he hates the smell of fish.

My dog's idea? YUM! haha

She gobbles them up in no time, and now every time I open the pantry door she expects to get another one!

The recommended feeding amount for a dog her size is 3 4 biscuits per day, so I estimate this bag will be done in about a month. Considering similar treats though, I believe this is the best option, because you get more for your money. Other treats, like Zuke's, Pet Natural's and Wild Alaska, are very small. So for a big dog like mine, she really gets to enjoy them and not just swallow them whole.

They are a bit crunchy, so expect some crumbs. (Though if your dog is like mine they will only last half a second on the floor!) These treats are also healthy for your dog at only 33 calories per biscuit!

Overall, I think these were a great buy, and I'm sure my dog agrees!

I got these because my foster dog, a 70-lb female chocolate lab, had really dry skin when she came to us. Her coat had dandruff on it and she was shedding a lot. Part of this was probably her diet, so we switched to a better brand of food, but I think these treats--along with Alaskan Natural Salmon Oil Salmon Oil Coatcare for Dogs , 32-Ounce Bottle--helped a ton. Her coat is now shiny and she looks great.

My permanent dog, a 50-lb yellow lab mix, also loves these treats. I've tried many brands and don't get me wrong, she eats them all! But this is the only one that I can use to lure her into her crate at night. I say "treat" and show her this one, and she goes right in. She must love them! The foster dog does as well. Highly recommend these, and I like giving them a treat that has some bigger purpose (beyond being a treat). Nice for skin and coat!

These treats are decent in the sense that they are made from a limited number of "natural" ingredients; however, they have no taste and no smell. I bought several different flavors over the past couple of years and I noticed that the biscuits really didn't look or smell any different from each other (chicken, peanut butter, bacon and cheese,...) so I nibbled a little off three different "flavors" and they all tasted the same, like bland wheat biscuits with no hint of anything remotely related to peanut butter, bacon or cheese. They should just label them all Cardboard flavor. Dogs will enjoy crunching on pretty much anything but if you're going to spend the money, I'd suggest you buy something with sense pleasure for your dogs. Something that smells and tastes interesting. Products exist and I won't mention them because I don't want to sound like a shill for another product. Check out your local independent pet supply shop and look for something that smells good when you open the box or bag (rosemary, parsely, etc...). And if you really don't want to spend a lot of money and want to provide a healthy treat your dog will probably love, try baby carrots, apples and string beans (my dog loves frozen string beans).

I bought these, thinking they were a company I'd purchased before, have discovered it is not. I am very disappointed at how thin they are and how quickly my 12 lb maltese/shitzu mix gobbles through them. Next time I need to make sure I order "thick". Even so, it seems these are pretty thin to be called "medium". But for the reasonable price, she will be getting more than one a day, most likely, to keep her entertained. BUT they are low odor, which is important to me. For dogs who aren't into major chewing they should be just fine. My dogs love these things. One of them is on a low-sodium diet, so I contacted the company to find out the sodium content. They were very quick to respond, and the treats are extremely low in sodium, so they're perfect for us. I originally bought them from Costco, but my store stopped selling them, so now we're on Amazon's auto-ship program. My only quibble is that so many of the cookies are broken when they arrive.

My dog is an older dog, and I bought these treats for her in order to perhaps help her with her stiff joints. Within a few days of giving her these treats, my dog started having seizures. At first we weren't sure what might be causing them because she had never had a seizure before. The seizures increased, and we took her to the vet. The vet couldn't find anything wrong with her that might be causing the seizures. About two months after beginning the treats, I determined that this was the only variable as the seizures had started soon after. We stopped giving them to her as soon as we made the connection and the seizures stopped right away and she hasn't had one since. I don't know why these treats affected her this way, but I would strongly suggest that people stay away from these treats. Seeing your beloved pet go through something like this is very upsetting, but it is even more upsetting knowing that it happened because of something I gave her. Stay away from these treats, please.

Our vet recommended these to us for our arthritic German Shepherds (8 and 12) in conjunction with other treatments. They absolutely LOVE them. But beware, they do smell horrible to humans. These are much better received than any of the other glucosamine pills we tried; I even use them for a bit of training after dinner because they'll do just about anything to get one.

Bought 2 of these for my dogs when camping in bear country. If you are just walking, I'm sure they are fine. If you're dog likes to exuberantly jump in the water then shake or other similar kind of play (like my energetic border collie mix), this may come off quickly. Within 5 minutes of chasing the tennis ball into the river it was off, but thankfully I found it. As long as I remember to take it off before playing those games, it's fine. It stays on my other dog just fine as she's very mellow. Overall would recommend with that in mind.

My dog wears a bell whenever we hike in the woods but, I have gone through a few of these. My spaniel runs through the woods like there is no tomorrow and eventually he will snag a shrub and the bell will come off. I have zip tied one on his harness but, when I just have his regular collar I only have the velcro. I don't care, I still love these things. I do not worry about bears, I use this bell so I can hear he is nearby and not have to actually keep my eyes on him.

I have looked at every dental bone on the market, and these have the healthiest ingredients in them. They have no gluten or potato starch in them, which I love. My dog is very picky, and he always loves these. I definitely recommend these because I really feel they help to keep plaque from sticking to my dog's teeth. I ordered this crate for my 13 year old Yorkie who is only 5 pounds. When I visit people and stay overnight, I need a secure place for her. This has a snap on the back that is not shown in the picture that allows you to attach the bag to your belt loop or the outside of a backpack. Pretty handy little bag. Like other reviews, don't think the zipper will hold water in but it won't leak when you use it for water and it holds a lot of food or treats in the bag. Easily washable. Great overall use for this bowl.
