The material is a bit thin but surprisingly has yet to rip despite not being able to keep my youngest cat from treating it like a scratching post. I just hope it holds up for years to come!I ordered this crate for my 13 year old Yorkie who is only 5 pounds. When I visit people and stay overnight, I need a secure place for her. I was immediately attracted to this crate because it looked soft and comfortable. Well, it is. I am so pleased that there are no rough or pointy edges, the entire crate is made out of soft material, and with all of the screened openings, it's light inside. Maggie loves it so much, I have left it up in my room, and she goes inside for naps during the day. It is easy to break-down and set up, light weight, great color, and very well made. The opening at the end of the crate ( as shown in the picture) has a zippered screen that can be rolled up, secured with velcro, and allows Maggie to go in and out without a problem. I would certainly purchase this again,
