Wysong is honest and says all kinds of canned foods are processed at high temps killing most of the nutrients and enymes an animal needs. If you feed canned they ask you add the daily vitamin plan, "Add Life" or even "Call of the Wild" to their daily regimes. And yes do this or you'll end up with very sick animals. My cats aren't crazy about any of the Wysong canned foods, either. Not sure why. I think the textures might be too dense and the flavors might be too medicore. This product is very hard to find locally and online. My dogs go crazy for these treats and I must admit they do smell good. Northwest Naturals is just as high value as a hot dog for my dogs. The disadvantage is that they are more expensive than a hot dog, but the upside is that they are much more healthy for them. While my puppies love these, I find them too expensive to purchase on a regular basis. The chews keep them busy for about 20 minutes. I reserve the treats for times when I want the pups quiet so I can get some chores done around the house. I sprayed all my carpets and my couches with this and so far, I'm only finding fleas on my pets. I tried flea collars and flea drops and nothing works. Moved and had an infestation and I have not death with fleas in decades. I tried all natural treatments for 2 weeks and still infested. We all know we can't afford Innova or Orijen, which is one of the best foods you can possibly feed your dog. A lot of people buy Iams, myself included, for our dogs. Then there are the people who continue to buy Beneful and Old Roy and Pedigree and don't realize that you are basically buying corn, which your dog cannot digest and will essentially poop out! So you are just throwing your money into fertilizing your yard! LOL Dogfoodanalysis.com has a great rating system and reviews all dog foods and rates them with stars. 6 being the highest. To put this into perspective, Iams is a 1 star dog food, based off of its ingredients. This food, Chicken soup for the Soul is a 4 star food. Blue Buffalo is also a 4 star food, but costs twice as much! Iams sells at Walmart for $17.88 for an 18 pound bag so .99 a pound. I would typically feed my dog 2 1/2 cups of Iams. This food, as of the time of this review is $39.99 for 35 pounds,so $1.14 a pound. And I would only give my dog 2 cups. Think about it, if you ate fillers all day long and food with very little nutritional value, you are going to eat more. But if you ate food with more substance, that was healthier, you would actually eat less. This is the same for dogs. So many people run out and buy Kibble and Bits because you can get a huge bag for $10, but you end up feeding your dog 3-4 cups and blow through the bag in a matter of days. They don't realize that if they buy a better quality food, you actually feed your dog less. I ordered what I thought was five "4" packs of Smartbones medium size. What arrived was five "single" packs of the Smartbones medium size. The price for a four pack was a little more than half the local store price for the same items.... But for a single bone it works out to more than double the cost. I don't know if the problem is with the web/computer system or if the packer simply grabbed the wrong items. As I couldn't find a way to contact Amazon my only choice was to return the items. I'm afraid to reorder as I can't be certain the same mistake will not reoccur. Too bad as the price would be good and my dog loves the product.

I thought this would be a hard bone that he would simply chew off the meaty bits and then gnaw on over time. Instead, he chewed it to pieces in no more than 20 minutes. Then he spent the next couple days throwing up chunks of bone. My boxer is not an aggressive chewer but this bone is soft and can easily be broken down...no "hours of enjoyment for your pet." I normally watch closer when he's chewing something that he can break up but I thought I had nothing to fear with the bone.

Our little guy loved this toy. I didn't have any problems with it secreted an oil like one review and I was worried about the manufacturing. I tried calling the company before we ordered and couldn't get through to anyone so I took a chance. The package said it was made in china-that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars...not sure of it's manufacturing plant but it seems okay. I washed it and let him try it. He loves it. He has an orange treat ball that he uses for food a lot but this one he plays with on its own. It bounces it so well that he'll roll it over and chase after it. It seems pretty durable. He's chewed on it a lot and no busting yet. The hole is a little smaller than the one I'm use to but it works fantastically. His food flies out when he bounces it. My Lab Mix loves this ball. We put some treats in the center of it when we have to leave her at home and she plays with it for hours. She'll batt it around and bounce it until the treats come out. Purchased this item and noticed a round shaped oily spot on the Amazon receipt where the ball had been resting. I thought this was odd so I left the ball overnight resting on a blank piece of paper. Sure enough, the next morning the sheet of paper had an oily spot on it. It seems that the ball gives off some kind of substance which you cannot feel when touching the ball. I do not want my dog ingesting whatever this is -as it may be toxic. Buyer Beware!

My chihuahua isn't to keen on this one. THe ends are too smooshy because they are not solid. They have the "holes" so you can fill them with peanut butter or that cheese stuff but I don't give her that filling stuff. She just gets it as a bone. So, the bone "gives" too much when she chews and it's not very much fun for her. And when she DOES chew on it......she is able to tear the little pieces of the flex holes part away and then she swallows them. NOT GOOD. I've actually had to take it away from her, and then that creates a whole other problem. So, it's really not my favorite. I like the Dental Stick MUCH better.
