I bought these on recommendation. My dog is allergic to beef and this was a good alternative. The only problem is that she didn't chew up the chips well and ended up getting sick. Wow, I was so excited to find these sweet potato treats for my dog, so I ordered them right away. When they arrived, I opened the package and grabbed one and gave it to my dog......she walked off with it and then dropped it, sniffed it, and then walked away from it. I picked it up and YUCK! It smelled bad, chemical or petrochemical type of smell, was greasy and blackened, was just bad. Bummer, I tried again with my dog -who is extremely TREAT motivated (not food motivated) -and nothing. So, I threw away the entire bag. I could not even conceive of giving these away to someone else for their dog, as they might think I was trying to poison their dog! Ooops! Sorry! These treats are soft and chewy. I like these treats because they made of natural food. Sheba really likes them.
