I ordered two of the Hartz Combination Dog Brush/Combs. The first time I used one of them, the section with the wire brush fell completely out of the brush. The other brush seems to be working just fine.

This is a nice, sturdy dog brush with bristles and 'wire' sides. My dog won't like it, but I do :)

I saw that others gave this brush a good review, and though I do not like to be the bearer of bad news, I strongly recomend that the purchaser test the handle of the brush to see how well it stays on when receiving the product. I got mine out of the package, which was stapled shut and the handle came off. I bought it for our puppy which I have not had the chance to use it on, and may not since I may be sending it back.

This brush did nothing to remove any hair from my short-haired dog. The metal spine side is useless and you'd think the plastic bristles would do something but they just move hair around and remove nothing.

Good product. Last one just like it lasted 20 years. Good for cats and dogs. Easy to clean. My cat purrs entire time I brush him which is about three minutes.
