All you need to do is read the ingredients, and the review writes itself. First ingredient: chicken meal (lower quality "rendered" chicken), next three ingredients: rice, corn, corn. So in other words, this cat food is mainly made from mostly grain and some lower quality meat. You don't find the ingredient "chicken" until the 7th ingredient. C'mon people, you are smarter than to fall for that. Compare that to any of the legit brands like Wellness, Buffalo Blue, Eukanuba etc., that have meat as the *first* ingredient and far less grain.

We fed this quality food to our oriental shorthair kittens, and they are now thriving,

and healthy adult beauties. While, some owners may overreact when it comes to purity

of ingredients, meaning, grain content...the overall goodness of the food will show in the

skin, coat and health of the cats. Also, I come from a family of veterinarians, 4 currently in

practice, and all endorse this cat food. After all, they are the best judge of what we feed to our companion animals.

We currently feed the Royal Canin Dry Siamese blend to our adult cats.

I just got the second cat in life (I waited well over a year since I had to put my last baby down at the age of 18 the cat, not me). Learning from past mistakes I'm making sure to feed my new baby good quality food. Anything that includes the words "meat-by-product" in the ingredients is a NO NO!! This food is perfect. It's healthy, has no random animal by-anything, and it's small so that little cat mouths can eat it without potential harm. I highly recommend Royal Canin and their quality products.

I got this kibble for an older cat with mouth issues. Regular dry food is too hard for her. This is a decent size(not little round pellets) & soft enough. She loves it & so does my kitten. They are both doing very well. It's worth the price.

For the older cat,I mix Royal Canin with Meow Mix Tender Centers which you can also get on Amazon. Very pleased with Royal Canin.

I bought this food specifically for a cat rescue up in Northern California (The Cat House On The Kings) because they needed it. I personally don't have any kittens right now, but that rescue has over 700 cats, so I imagine they are quite a good source for advice on this subject.
