I initially started my dog off on these as the gummy version was too easy for her to tear apart. A few months later during my vet visit, she noticed my dog had two slab fractures on her molars. Granted, my dog would tear into these, but now she has ruined her teeth and requires a crown for both molars. I now use kongs with treats that I replace once they start to look worn.

My black mouth cur loves this chew bone. It is very durable and lasts a good amount of time. I usually go through about one a month and she is a very heavy chewer. These are really nice bones, and they keep the pups teeth and gums healthy. I highly recommend these toys. I ended up getting mine from my local pet store but as always amazon has the better price so I will be buying from Amazon next time! Great toy!

If I could speak dog, I'd ask my dogs why they prefer a hard hunk of flavored plastic over a softer flavored chew bone. But I don't and can't, so all I can say it that my dogs (100-lbs & 50-lbs) think that the Souper Nylabones (Liver & Chicken) are super. This $6.90 is a great price compared to our local pet store.

I have two dogs, both 90 lbs+. They have anywhere from 6-10 Nylabones of various shapes and flavors going at the same time, and when one bone finally gets whittled down to a nub, it is replaced. It takes AT LEAST a year for this bone to get whittled down to a nub, and both of my dogs are HEAVY HEAVY chewers. They have only chewed on Nylabones their entire lives (no squeaky toys, no plush toys, no rubber toys), and I give the Nylabone product full credit for teaching them that "Chewing on Nylabone = Good! Chewing on Shoes/Furniture = Bad!" They chew on absolutely NOTHING else!

My dog is an aggressive chewer and that's an understatement! Anything I buy for her is destroyed by the time I turn around to throw away the packaging it came in. But...not nylabones! They last for MONTHS and even years. They may cost a bit more, but they are so worth the investment. They actually save me money on other chew toys that last mere minutes. I have also purchased many other nylabone products and have never been disappointed. I spent $20 on an extra large bone and its well over a year old and still has so much "life" left in it.
