I absolutely loved this product when it first arrived, and so did the dogs. I removed plaque and the dogs had nice, clean teeth. then After a couple months, I noticed that all of the dogs were producing far less saliva and starting to form hard plaque that this product was not removing even with daily tooth brushings. I took the dogs in for a dental cleaning, and upon their return the plaque returned within a week--and so did their dry mouths. Saliva is necessary for dental hygiene as it contains the enzymes needed to break down plaque, so I decided to discontinue use and switched to another product. Within 4 days, the saliva production returned to normal, and so did the clean teeth and fresh breath.

Love Love Love this product! I initially started on the dentratreat for my cats teeth. I gets rid of kitty breath! But it also has a ton of other health benefits! The bottle lasts a long time, you only need to use it 2-3 times a week. It is worth it for your pets health!

This item is very expensive, but we have three cats, and they don't let me brush their teeth. So we sprinkle this on their food twice a day. Sailor still goes in for a cleaning once a year but I felt his teeth were cleaner, using this product. Happy and Crystal are doing well on it too. Would recommend it to other cat lovers.

I have three dogs that are getting this once a day with their food. In about 7 days I noticed their breath smelled better. After only two weeks, I could see the amount of plaque on their teeth was decreasing. It's a little on the expensive side if you see it as "a dietary supplement". I did the math and compared the cost of continuing a daily dosage of this for each dog, versus the cost and risks of annual dental cleanings for all three dogs. It costs less for the Dentatreat. The fact that I decrease the anesthesia risks to my pets is a huge bonus!
