I was very apprehensive about growing this wheat grass as it seemed quite complicated. My intention was to grow the grass for my cats and dog. I must say, I followed the directions implicitly and within one week the grass was tall enough to present to my animals!! Today was the day and the cats seem to be eating it. My dog doesn't seem interest----yet. The kit includes everything you need with five growing pans. I'm very happy with this product.

This is great. My two, older adopted cats, are strictly indoors. I start a quarter cup of seeds every 3 months or so, and they love the fresh greens. If I get behind on schedule, they try to eat houseplants, which is dangerous. It starts easier than the package suggests. You do not have to go the dark, covered route. Just keep it misted. When the seeds sprout, they take off on their own. I put a rubber band over the pot, so the grass can grow great and the cats can't get too excited and steal the entire plant. If you don't secure the planting, the cats will take it out of the container.

Initially I purchased it for my dogs. When they showed no interest in it I decided it would make a beautiful, live centerpiece for my coffee table! Love it, though I wish the dogs would prefer it to the weeds they eat. When I read the instructions it seemed a little more involved than I wanted. There are a few steps but the end result is well worth it! You will grow lovely, green, lush grass. Even if the pets pass on it, it is suitable for human consumption. My significant other uses it in his health drink every morning. A few steps into the living room, a few snips and it is fresh and in his blender! I will continue to use this even if the dogs are too foolish to enjoy it! Perhaps in time they will come around!

Might be a bit much for my cat, but now I don't have to replant grass for him every few days. This lasts a lot longer and he doesn't chew it all up in one or 2 days.
